  1. Bought a navionics updates card thinking it was what I needed for my platinum hotmaps card, turned out I was wrong after calling navionics. $50 located in sackets Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  3. I sea trialed today and it seemed to work just fine. Wasn't too windy out today though. I have it hooked up to my hds 9 and it seems to be on close on heading. Wasn't sure I hooked it up right but seems legit, will know more when the waves hit harder Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=10211305681450449&id=1012568306 Man I can't wait! I'm installing a trollmaster tomorrow and then it's calibration time Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. So if you look at the third pic there's four bolts with a bearing sleeve and some stainless washers underneath. I put a square piece of 2x4, drilled the hole out for the bearing sleeve and bolted it to the splash well Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. So I've made some progress. Disconnecting the main steering cable totally made this doable. There's 2 bolt holes where the main steering arm connects to so I lightly bolted the arm for the st2000 and used a hitch pin for the second hole. I do have to undo and redo each time but am hoping the results are worthwhile. One thing I noticed is you only get 10inches of steering. 5inches left and 5inches right. Seems adequate to steer the boat just not lock to lock. Should be done soon! Can't wait to sea trial it. Thanks Gary for the help! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Lifesaver brother! You ever come up this way we're fishin for sure! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. That's crazy, was just watching at st1000 control a 50hp four stroke and the guy had it disconnected at the main steering cable, combs try that for sure! I appreciate the help! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. That's a good idea, did you find a way to quick connect your steering? Thinking pin and cotter or something Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Ugh I'm not sure the st2000 has enough in it to push my 115 yami tied to my 15hp yami. Need a 90 degree angle as the bar screwed into the panther tie rod had too much give to push very well. Hoping it works otherwise I'll have a raymarine st2000 for sale lol Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  15. I think a couple conditions make it difficult up here, for one the west wind is always pushing warm water and to make things even worse, the east end is rather shallow compared to the rest of the lake which makes finding temp a long haul out to deeper water, kinda acts like a lagoon up here. I can generally find salmon but after talking to guys on the other end of the lake my 2-3 fish a trip is nothing compared to their daily limiting out. I only tend to find that in trench season Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  23. HELOCs are generally adjustable rates, but cap out at like 12% depending on the institution and usually can only adjust with the market rate by a percent each year, so while interest rates are on the rise I don't predict anything astronomical in the next 15-20 years. So if the interest rate did rise... your tax benefit would actually be greater with a HELOC compared to the fixed and you didn't pay 5-6k in closing cost on top of a down payment Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  24. A second home would be a second home no matter if it's secured by a HELOC or traditional mortgage. Only starts to get tricky if you rent it out Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
