Thanks to everyone and and especially Legacy for the great thread. Not sure I missed a day looking and scared to tell how many times per day. Don't tell work!
Lots of local knowledge and reports to make us all better hunters and you can't find it anywhere else.
Great year for me. 1st xbow, 1st doe and 1st deer behind my house, and a big buck on opening day.
One of my best days this year was helping a friend with his first deer, the last Sunday of gun.
Just like you all passing down your reports (good or bad) We all learn!
Congrats to all and thanks again,
Have a Great Holliday, Merry Christmas and New Year!

Fished 80-270fow
220fow was the best but the screen was mostly blank everywhere.
Found cold water out past 140fow+/- 100' down. inside of that it was all mixed up.
ended 5for7
all smaller kings and steelhead
FF took a few but mostly spoons. NK purple mag at the end of the night was the best.

Braddocks 7/26 Good, Bad And Pretty
Did a late shakedown out of Braddocks. Ripped the boat floor out in April and then started sandbagging and breakwall building.
6-9PM
80'-200'
Low number of marks. few bait marks.
Fished blind with no temp/speed probe and only one downrigger
Best fishing was along the merky and clear water which was all over and not a line. Some of it was along 180' deep.
Ended 3 for 6 all small kings
spoon and FF took hits (silver 2 face/stud, NK 42nd, home made Warrior)
Good
- The boat's new floor made the boat more solid and chopped the waves better
- Finally went for a boat ride and salmon fished
- Friend got his first salmon
- Fun Fun Fun
Bad
- 1st drop of the down rigger and the ball and speed n temp broke off
- Fish finder depth stoped working but started again
- Bulge pump was seized
- Braddocks port is not well marked. Stay near the green lights and poles. Not Red Right Returning. Large pile of rocks/concrete is unmarked just west of the pipes.
Pretty night and nice sunset

Three Salmon Poachers Arrested after Early-Morning Chase
Three men suspected of poaching during the annual salmon run were arrested early Wednesday morning after leading police on a wild chase in the woods in Niagara County, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) announced today.
The incident occurred just after 2 a.m. when DEC Environmental Conservation Officers (ECOs) were conducting a night patrol along the Lake Ontario shoreline and its tributaries.
ECOs Roger Ward and Nathan Ver Hague were checking the Burt Dam area of 18-mile Creek in Newfane when they noticed several large garbage bags piled on a pathway. The officers inspected the bags and found them loaded with freshly caught salmon.
At the same time, a pickup truck slowly drove by the area. Two men approached on foot and ECO Ward revealed himself and ordered the men to stop. The men took off running through the woods. ECO Ward apprehended one suspect hiding in the brush, but as ECO Ver Hague chased the other down to the creek, the man dove in and swam off. The Niagara County Sheriff's Department was called for assistance.
Deputy Matt Grainge responded and located a pickup truck a short distance away matching the description given by the ECOs. The driver was sitting inside awaiting a call from the other two men.
Deputies Keith Hetrick, John Vosberg and a K-9 officer tracked the suspect who swam across the creek and eventually located him attempting to climb up a gorge. He was taken into custody.
A total of 69 salmon ranging in size from 5 to 35 pounds had been poached from the creek, the subjects using a weighted treble hook and net to snag the fish.
The three men - Sergey Yatchuk, 41, of 55 Applewood Ln., Getzville, Petro Parfenyk, 29, of 2204 Prospect Ave., Erie, Penn., and Mikhail F. Sakalosh, 39, of 8322 Taylor Colquitt Rd., Spartanburg, S.C. - were charged with 32 violations, including fishing without a license, possessing foul-hooked fish, taking fish by snatching, taking fish in excess of daily limit, and illegal fishing at night.
The three suspects were remanded to the county jail in lieu of bail, $1,100 for Parfenyk and Sakalosh and $1,000 for Yatchuk.

Started at Rosies for a cool down, a few and a sub. Went out to 80' with a north troll at 3:30pm. Bait and marks at 100' but mostly warm water. Found cold water out further but empty screen all the way to 200'. Returned in and all the marks and bait were on a muck driftwood line near 100'. Fish for an hour+/- cleaned up and had a laker on an orange spoon. Fish wouldn't swim away so we tried laker for the first time and it was delicious. Hit braddocks beach to swim again. What a day!
