Charge, basement and on a piece of wood? Someone might have told me to not leave them on concrete?

I got in the stand last night and had deer around me the whole time. Scored a nice 8pt. Good to make a good shot with a bow after last year’s missed shot. Builds some confidence for sure. 
 

my 9yr old son said “dad you know why you made a good shot, because i make you practice so much”. We have been shooting a-lot together which makes it super fun. 
 

made me proud. He can’t wait to be old enough to hunt and neither can I. 

Same here. 4 bucks and two sharpening their skills, in daylight.

Nice fish. I did catch a few fish on old(frozen for years) and chewed up meat. Almost looked like a loogie but still worked.

Check 90fow n got a laker. Trolled out to 225. Best was 190 w blank screen.
 

Landed a double. One steel head. 
 

three ok salmon. Meat and flasher fly beat spoons. Dipsy 250 w meat rig. 

ended 7-9 with a salmon in 90 around bait. 
 

flees were worse inside. Lots of flies but never really bothered us. 
 

47F water was down 70-80 feet. 

Two are in the fridge.

Anyone know if NYS is considering changing the crossbow size limitations?

A lot of compact crossbows don’t meet the minimum width requirements if I am reading it right.

Looking into a new crossbow and would wait if there was a chance of law update. 

Bummer. Love the place and got a lot of tackle and more important advice there. 

Nice fishing especially with kids. Was tough mid day on Sunday out of eagle. 

I like the synthetic meat rigs working. Ill have to get a few. Any differences fishing them?

I thought 2017 flooding was blamed for the 11” of rain in May?

Did Montreal do anything for upgrades? NYS people paid (some got reimbursed) for upgrades to some break walls but thats only part of it and they only hold back waves not water. Houses, roads and utilities were not raised so most will have issues. Not to mention no wake, waterfront businesses suffering etc. 

Wasn't last year low but kept ok for later in summer? Wild how it can be all over the place since the new plan (5yrs) but before  decades of good levels with nature casing some issues here and there. 
 

Any free sandbags?
