  1. Got out around 7:30 this morning. Fished on east side not far out from shore with just flatlines and crankbaits. Colors or depths didn’t matter and it was a slow but steady pick all the way until about 1pm. Got 7 salmon and a rainbow in the boat. Had a few other takes but gone shortly after. Found an area that was 47 degrees in the murky water. Green water was 42 or so. All the fish were in the warmer parts. Surprised to only see one other boat out, but they went elsewhere after a couple loops. It’s getting close to being

  2. Anyone have an update on how the launch looks? I read it was low earlier in the month but it was still useable if you didn’t go crazy. Launching an 18’ Tracker next weekend hopefully but didn’t want to drive over 2 hours and have it too low. Thanks!

  3. After a single time out, I really didn’t like using cannon tracks and a pedestal. I bought cannon base plates and made aluminum backing plates to mount the bases to. The pedestals were super wobbly and didn’t seem like they would hold up long term. I haven’t fished yet with the new setup, but just the feel pulling on them is way more stable.

  4. Just purchased a used TargaV18 Combo and will be installing FishHawk and Electric Riggers. Planned on having to take off side panels to run wiring. With you experience, should that be enough to make the job easier.

Electric riggers will be pretty simple with just the side panels off.

The fishhawk will be a hair trickier if you want to run the transducer cable with all the other ones since you will have to run it under the floor in the back. Still do-able, just will take a bit of finesse to fish it through. It is still going to be way easier fishing it through under the floor than taking the rear deck out and putting it in.

    Congratulations on the new boat!
  5. For sale: Furuno FCV-588, no transducer. Has the cover and power cord. Used for 1 year before I sold the boat. It doesn’t fit with the new boat, so hopefully someone can use it for a good price. $700 plus shipping (could be a bit with insurance!) or I can meet you somewhere within a reasonable distance of Bloomsburg, Pa. I’d prefer to meet up to avoid it getting damaged in shipping. Thanks.

  6. If you have a 0 ohm reading this shows it to be an open circuit. Possibly a brush issue or the windings are bad

0 ohms I meant as a closed circuit. It read as 0 resistance. My cheap little meter shows an open circuit as “1 . “ I’m half thinking though that I should have shown a tiny bit of resistance from the windings themselves? There’s not miles and miles of copper in a little motor like that, but I assumed I should see a very small (milliohms even) resistance?

  7. I have a Cannon Mag 10HS that doesn’t want to work. I opened the side compartment and tested all the stuff I could get my multimeter on. The wires all tested good, the switch changes state when you click it back and forth, the little circuit breaker reads closed, the electric motor reads 0 ohms across the wires and spins freely. The gear box looks fine. I’m to the point to believe it’s the circuit board. Anyone have any insight on how to test the board or is it where I am that if everything else filters out as good it has to be the board? Thanks!

  8. I have a pair of Cannon Lake Trolls and a pair of cannon 6# flash weights. Used 1 summer and they have sat on the shelf since. Time to go!

Great shape, but 1 of the square bases shows signs of cracking? Looks as though a rubber worm was on it and reacted somehow, but I’m no chemist. It may need replaced.

    $175 plus shipping for those.

Also, EZ steer outboard to outboard steering rod. Had it hooked to a Tohatsu and Mercury 150. Works as it should. Nothing wrong with it. $70 plus shipping.

Lastly, an Easy Troller. I had it on a 150 Merc around 5 years ago. Used it for a summer until I got the kicker on. Great shape. $60 plus shipping.

All are located in Bloomsburg, Pa, but willing to meet within a reasonable distance to save you on shipping costs. I will also entertain trades for lures and such if you have something like that.

  9. Hank is right about the "S" being a short shaft. That 17.1" might be the maximum transom height for this motor.

Does this motor weigh 102 pounds like it says on that spec sheet? How many amps is the alternator? Some seem to be 6 amp and some are 12 amp systems.

I’d say 102lbs seems like a stretch, but I bet that’s right. It’s got some weight to it, but I can move it around still. I had it on a Panther 4 stroke lift bracket so it didn’t feel like a lot of weight back there

It’s the 6amp. I remember looking up all the working amp loads for my gear to make sure it wasn’t too much.
