I will say this , and I have been doing this a long time .

Sometimes you get pushed to do be places you don't want to be . One boat will be headed one way and the other another and all of a sudden you are in a precarious place  with nowhere to go. Especially with an inexperienced driver  on any of the boats . You really have to look ahead and anticipate what other boats are doing .And even that will sometimes get you in trouble . More than  once I have had to push it up to 6 MPH to get out of trouble  because another boat cut in front of would not give space .

X2, that has happen to me more once in Mexico bay

Launched next to the CG station at 7:30am, pulled out at 1:30pm. Trolled west to Pultneyville and then back. Water temp hovered around 43.5 deg but did see 44. Thought we were gonna hammer the browns but only boated 4. Nicest one was an 8 pounder followed a 6 and two 2-pounders.  What a great day on the water,,, sunny, light breeze, and very little boat traffic.  Looked like lots of boats in the bay after perch.

On the eastern shore, Oswego-Salmon river rarely do we see the seafloellen type of brown trout with the yellow hue, classic brown trout. More of the silvery salmon type to the east. Beautiful fish !!!

  3. Yeah those bugs, suck although enjoy the flat calm. On the eastern shore it really heats up after a NW blow, all the bait and browns are in close and can be feast fest. Hang in there Mikey water temps will be heating up, just a matter of timing. I have alive web cam on my lake house so can give lake reports to anyone heading out. Tight lines !!
