  1. They just really got on their feet here in the last 10 or so minutes 5 does and a little buck behind them. They all just killed around for about 5 minutes then as soon as the little buck started bumping them a little the died took off. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. I think you solved my mystery. it did have a birdish sound to the scream. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Just saw the same thing no urgency or anything just walking by. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. Haha could be there are a lot of fox I’ve seen in the stand. I wasn’t sure what it was but I walked out with an arrow knocked and my hand on the release lol Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. Had a bunch of does about an hour and a half before dark. A shooter came out of some thick stuff about 80 yards out and scent checked all of them and went right back in. Right at dark I heard a ton of noise off to my right (crashing leaves turning etc) then about 5 minutes later I heard the most god awful screaming/screeching coming from that direction. Not sure what it was but i started wondering if it might’ve been that creature from the Jeepers Creepers movies. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. I don’t think I’ve ever been this cold deer hunting my hands are in pain from the time it took me to check the new posts in here Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. Got down about a half hour ago when my fingers were finally in too much pain to stand it anymore. On my way to dicks now to get gloves and some antler ice. Saw 3 does and 3 bucks 2 1.5 year olds and I’m thinking smaller 2.5 or a stud first rack. About a mile from my spot I was pulling up to a stop sign and saw a doe come barreling into the field. Got my binocs out in time to see a real nice 10 hounding her, watched them for about 5 minutes and he was on her the whole time all over the hillside. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. Got in the stand about 10 minutes ago, got up at 2am to leave from Albany to my new spot near Macedon. I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it on time when exit 34-41 of the thruway was covered in snow and near white out conditions. Happy I did because minus the wind this morning seems about perfect. 10. My mission after work today was to get back in an untouched piece of thick stuff on this new property. All was going well, did a drag walking in then I️ got about 15 feet off the ground and this happens. Nothing will make you pucker up like your toes slowly pointing towards the sky faster and faster. Had to wriggle the platform down the tree and shimmy the top down while bear hugging the tree. Spots probably blown but I’m heading west at about 2am anyhow. 12. They’re redoing our floors in our shop at work so I got cut out at 315 changed out of my uniform and was out the front gate at about 316 drove to my spot about as fast as I could and basically ran to my stand. Last week when I was up here I️ kind of winged it and made 2 ground scrapes with estrous doe antler ice because that’s what I had. Much to my surprise I got up here today and found 3 scrapes so I must’ve fooled someone. I also saw a good buck this morning on my way to work at first light cruising and a couple does on their feet a couple fields over. First deer I’ve seen going to work all fall, it’s starting to heat up so I’m not questioning my second week of November choice for vacation as much anymore. 13. Cool story and background BSmaster and congrats! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  14. That’s how most the “meat hunters” are Pap, they’re the biggest naysayers of there being big deer in New York. The other ones that get me are the guys that shoot 1-1/2 year olds every year and put up a Facebook post saying “not as big as i hoped for but ya can’t eat the horns, now time to fill some doe permits!” As if they couldn’t have shot a 115lb doe instead of a 100lb buck Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Awesome congrats to all of you Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. Started sprinkling on my way into the driveway, pulled up in front of the garage to get changed and i was welcomed with a big white flag about 20 yards away at about 1:50. Never been a big believer in tinks etc but i grabbed some antler I’ve last night and did about a 300 yard drag to my stand and 2 wicks soaked around me. Not sure how it’ll work with this stiff swirling wind (something that you’re always fighting on this mountainside but hopefully the antler ice works as advertised and I️ can head out to Ohio next week for my week off. 18. They need to think of hunters with this daylight savings crap. Wake up earlier and have less time to hunt after work. Write your congressman! Lol Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. Oh he knows believe me I’d leave him waiting but he lets me live at his house for the cost of utilities until I️ actually buy this spot I’m hunting on right now. So I️ could leave him but I️ figured it’s a best bet to not. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. My sit for tonight just hung the stand gotta sneak out about 545 to pick my uncle up from the airport unfortunately. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Put one cam out finally 2 weeks ago, I️ have guard drill so I️ couldn’t hunt but my dads out there and checked it. Brand new cam took one pic and stopped working. Decent 3.5 year old at least. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  23. I saw one doe in my new/old spot still don’t have a stand for it since I’ve been super busy and only going after work so I was sitting in a small hedgerow in a field. About 1 minutes before dark I could hear a ton of commotion in the thicket off the end of the field. Went on for about 5 minutes until a doe blew out into the field definitely being chased but the bucks just aren’t that dumb yet. I’ll be sneaking in near there with my climber Thursday Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  24. You ever been to Cabo on one of your yearly trips? Thinking about going with a couple buddies in the spring and would like to get as much fishing in as possible since everything else seems pretty cheap. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. The first place I ever hunted with my dad was in the process of being sold so I couldn’t hunt there this year. Deal fell through and I found out I was able to hunt there again yesterday. I was gonna go out after work since it’s only about 15 minutes down the road. Sitting at work I just realized I drove a different vehicle today and my bow and bin of clothes is not in it.... lol Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
