  6. Gator I’ve heard that report a lot about yesterday. I saw maybe 15-20 different deer on their feet yesterday including 2 1.5 year olds and one possible shooter in the brush who was tearing up scrapes and wrecking a tree rub. This morning I saw 2 does and a small basket 7 so far, one of the does was the one I had the bad shot on yesterday. Thankfully she had a very slight limp but was cruising along pretty well. 7. I think she’ll be fine, sucks but they’re tough i hope she’ll be fine, I’ve found plenty of broadheads in bone. I was on her and went to settle in for the shot and bumped my cheek/thumb. Just switched to a thumb release this year gotta get more used to keeping my thumb away from it especially with some adrenaline pumping. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. Well she’s got an insert and broad head in her shoulder but should be fine. Not a drop of blood anywhere and it was broken just after the insert. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  10. Got a new spot this year only second time hunting it. Had a bunch of does behind me first thing and then a group came in in front of me. Shot the biggest one looked like a good hit but she ran away with her front leg up. I saw the arrow fly about 20 yards later couldn’t tell if it was whole or broken then she stopped I thought she was going to pile up but she went about another 30 yards out of sight. Concerned I hit her shoulder. Other than that been a good morning with 2 1.5 year olds in range and what appeared to be a shooter walking by me through the brush at about 70 yards 5 minutes ago. Was gonna get down at 9 to check arrow and blood but they still seem very active. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  17. Ohio DIY Public land. Hey guys I'm planning on doing a public land bow hunt in Ohio this year. I've hunted there during gun season before some on public land some on private as the landowners out there aren't too stingy with giving permission. For a week or long weekend bow hunt however I want to find some deep public land where I can get way back off the road and make it easier on myself to plan things out from home instead of winging it for a chance to waste time not finding a place to hunt. I've looked up some of the public land they have to offer and a lot of it is small tracts or larger tracts that are more well known with high pressure i.e. Salt Forks. I was wondering if anyone on here has any knowledge of solid public land where I can get deep in from the road on the Central-Eastern part of the state. Paul

  21. ^Like he said I don't think you're going to get into a 27' fishing boat "cheap because the launches are closed" most boats 27 and up are slipped and those guys aren't really affected. Sea-IV I just bought a 10 Meter Trojan out of Cape Cod. Salt boat since new. If your crusaders are FWC you'll see a heat exchanger that looks like a big log at the rear of the engine up high if you can see that area in the pics you have. When I went down there I took a couple batteries and ran everything I could (or that would make me not want to buy a solid hull and 1 good low hour motor for the price) and picked through everything with a fine tooth comb. What I found with my boat is that where the engines and cooling system is what people generally worry about with salt boats but when you dig in further there's a lot of other things to consider. Any type of chrome accessory or trim piece on that boat (unless replaced) will be pitted from the salty air and open wiring connections are going to be corroded, the salt just takes its toll on everything. If I didn't A get the deal I did at my age and B have the time and ability to do the work myself to get this thing cleaned up I think that the money to find a nice clean Great Lakes boat is well worth it.
