We went out to 120 ft of water and I started setting up. I sent the 375 dipsy out and then the 95 rigger. As i was sending down the 75 rigger the 95ft rigger starts screaming! Jon was fighting the fish well until the line got caught in the real. The fish managed to spit the hook. I just got done putting the rigger back down and the 375ft dipsy started peelin line! The time i got to it nobody was home. We ended up haveing another hit on the 95ft rigger and lost him also. We were now 0 for 3 and things slowed up. i was checking riggers and found out that the two got tangled There was a huge knot and as i was undoing it, the 375ft dipsy started rippin. When I got to the rod it was already out to 475ft and just kept on taking line out. I set the hook and handed it of to Jon.( his biggest king so far was a 6lb king) After about a half an hour we got the fish in the boat. On the scale in the boat it wieghed 27lb 8oz!!!!!! The biggest king so far abourd Apple Boy! I checked the time and it was 8:30pm Unfortunately we missed weigh in, but it was a great day on the water!!! All the time we were out there we had a really nice looking screen! -Apple Boy

We managed to catch 3 kings and one smaller steelie. The waves were making in tough to fish, but it turned out to be a great day!! . Had the first double of the year when a dipsy went off and let connor take that, and the 60 ft rigger started rippin with the hawg wild on it. We lost the fish on the dipsy but got a 12lb king of the rigger. Besides the 1 hit on the dipsy we had all hits on the hawg wild for satuday at 60 ft. We ended up boating 5 kings and 1 steelie! Sunday: I got my dad out and the day could have not been better for us. We were expecting to get wet but the rain held of and the fishing bite was on!!! We boated 2 nice steelies on the 75ft rigger with the black and silver tuxedo right of the bat. It was a little quiet when the wild hawg started rippin again!! After 15 minutes had a nice 19lb king in the boat! Biggest fish so far!! We had a pretty big steelie on, but he headed for canada and lost him! It was a great day out there finishing with a total of 5 kings and 4 steelies.!! Hope the bite stays on!! Good luck! ====================

We Had 2 hits both on the 140' dipsy. It was about 10:15 and we were heading in when the rod fired. My dad fought the fish and lost it. We then got another hit and then we had a king!! We got it in the boat this time with the new net. The king was 13 lbs. ====================

We missed one and managed to get a nice 7lb brown in front of chimney bluffs. Then we decided to going target some kings. The bite was crazy out there today!! We just were finishing reeling in a 9lb king when the 140ft dipsy popped! I went to go get it when the rod holder snapped off!!! Luckly i was there in time and managed to get the rod and we had a screamer on!! After 15 minuted we had it close to the boat. It was a big king. We went to net it and it wouldnt fit in the net! We tried again and it bit the line and was on its way! Before i go out again I am buying a big net! We ended up getting a nice 5 lb coho and a 5 lb laker!! Good day on lake ontario!! ====================

  15. i was wondering if people prefer a handheld radio or one that is permanent with your boat. Also what brands and models people like. I am going to install one for my boat but am and wondering what models you guys like! Thanks -Kyle

  18. I have a 8'6in downrigger rod. I am wondering what type of line I should use for using on a rigger. I thnk I should use 30 to 20 pound line but am not sure if I should use braided, floral carbon or something else. Thanks! [ Post made via iPhone ]
  19. My dad and I Caught 21 nice perch in about 2 hours on sunday in Sodus Bay. Going to go back out this weekend
