I think one of the biggest draws of this site is the fact you can see them. And what is the point to closing it off?? its nothing more than a report on how your fishing day or trip went... The membership will grow based on the exposure currently here.

Well my battery went dead yesterday lol...she's a chargin now...

I never ask nor care for any money when I take people. But when it comes to taking my two sons (20 and 23) I INSIST they pay for gas I raised those boys and the least they can do for the ole man is fill up my 210 gallon tank with 93 octane.

Sad part is....they actually do that lol...

I take care of the gas on this baby...She can run all Summer long on 20 bucks lol.

It was awesome. Had a nice fire going outside and all of a sudden she popped up out of nowhere.

We went out last night but didnt get a thing. Beautiful night for a ride. they were at the 20ft range for sure but seemed a little too docile. Just for laughs and giggles we went out to 125 ft. lol....should have stayed in around the 20ft range.

lol thats the thing once you get one of these you learn the meaning of data hog lol..You can fill up a 500 gig drive in no time at all lol..

That 2.5 hours is also based on usage and temp. I use mine all Winter long and the cold reduces the batteries some what. Plus when you turn it on and off alot that will effect it too.

Boy today was a rough day. The ones that did go out didnt seem to do very much. good news is she calms down tonight and we should be good to go thru this week. Were gonna hit it tomorrow am

I hate to dampen plans (no pun intended) but it looks like this wind doesnt die down until Saturday night. Its nasty out there now and it should pass by saturday night..

It looks like it calms down Friday night so Saturday could be fishable. I just went outside the wind almost blew me over lol..

Depending on how it calms down time wise you might get out this afternoon. Its crankin right now at Fair Haven. I think tomorrow 6am is the best timing. Waves will be down then and its probably stirred up enough.

Thursday is the window because Friday she goes right back up again...

16 that is what they monitor. In fact you are supposed to (by their rules) use 16 until you connect with someone then you would go to another channel to continue conversation. But most just go to their channel's because others are already on them. The USCG does have scanning and they do scan but 16 is primary for them.

Boy they were not kidding when they said small craft advisory until thursday, its crankin out there....waves have to be a good 4 feet. The wind almost blew me over as I was picking driftwood off the west bank lol.. There is a small window Wednesday night, Thursday am before she picks up again...

Were gonna try and hit it thursday am. this weather should stir it up abit

Its a gopro Hero. Its designed for outdoor use. I bought it for my snowboard and ski trips I put on during the Winter but started using it last year on the boat. Its got several resolutions and camera angles plus its waterproof down to 150 feet.

Im looking forward to really putting it to the test this year. I can snap mount it right to the dash or any other place on the boat..

Last year I hooked up a radio in my camp so I can have communication between my sons and anyone else on the lake for that matter. I thought it would be a good idea in case someone got in trouble. Thanks to my buddy who was a communications expert in the British Military, we hooked up...or shall I say.."rigged" up a home made antennae and I know I can receive and transmit as far as "moon beach" and Oswego.

The unit doesnt have a scanner and I really didnt want one because I wanted to just isolate on the Fair Haven/Oswego/Sodus area.

So this brings me to the question as to what is your favorite VHF channel that you would normally communicate on when you are in the area of Fair Haven. I personally use 05 but occasionally 68...

Gillis is closed now, u have Giuseppe's pizza, oconners,pleasant beach , cornerstone, 104 store, connelys in sodus , and by far the best of them all the cottage inn restaurant in red creek highly recommended

About 13 feet just outside the chute. We were on our way in. Yea the enclosure works well. I designed it years ago. I have a proline as well..

Great first day on the water. Me and Matt went out for just abit just to make sure everything was in working order, Not a strike until the end when we passed by the chute for the final time. It was great to get back out on the water. The fish was a bonus! Lets see what tomorrow brings..
