  1. There are no harsh feelings here. It's just an awesome debate. I don't take much seriously, this was fun. Let's go jack another thread! See ya on the flip side!Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. What's with all the bashing on teenagers? Weren't you all one once too? I don't understand this.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. If a great debate like this bothers you enough, there are plenty of other things to read and put your "bull s***" on. This proved a lot of points and I loved hearing both sides of the story. No harsh feelings from me, just a good little debate.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. Is that a good thing? Haha. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. That too. Never know what's in there. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. And I thought we all knew the real king of the lake was the Greenland shark! I think it's a tie for second with sturgeon and a musky though. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  10. Must be hard for any of you to negotiate with a teenager let alone anyone being so full of yourselves and knowing everything.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. I'm sure there are on the North Shore at creek mouths. Would not be shocked.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. Opal mirage is a good one. White is a standby color, but I don't think they care. They would hit meatloaf if you put it down there. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. Then I guess they should change the name...Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  14. If the king is the "king" of the lake, why are there fish out there bigger than it? There are fish out there no one has even seen but because the king's average size is bigger than the rest, you all suppose they are king of the lake. I can guarantee you there will be a few lakers this spring derby that will be the grand prize king by POUNDS! And probably plenty of pounds. If you are fishing on the east end in the spring, your chance of finding a derby king and catching it at all, forget about it. But they do have a chance of catching a 20lb+ brown or 30lb+ lakers. Any of those fish could be over the grand prize if a king is not caught. BUT, just my opinion. This derby is going doing the wrong path as said above. No one here is telling Dave how to run his business at all, or whining or whatever you people call it, it's an opinion! We all have them. And our opinion probably won't change how he is going to run the derby. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. No one is whining, as said before. Just stating opinions as we all have a right to do. I'm not saying I will stop fishing the LOC and I don't see anyone else saying they will stop either, but some of the rules are pretty ridiculous to anyone's standards of a fishing derby. 16. Id love to see someone call me young and dumb, especially when they are saying stuff like that.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  17. Exactly my words! That's what they are targeting right now and they are having plenty of charters out there now for browns and/or lakers.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  18. THANK YOU! They are the other half of the derby. I've seen plenty of derbies saved by fishing for browns and catching their limit like in the pro-am. Sorry to bring in another derby but it's the best example. When the salmon pickings were slim, then the derby was played in shallower for brown trout. They saved the day for many people and made for happy fishing teams.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. I've seen the clown show on the river. Sure they come for nasty salmon. Ask Catch the Drift. Kevin gets more clients for steelhead and browns than kings for sure. He does double trips all the time in the winter. Why else?Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. And that's how it should be! Again, weight matters, not species.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  21. Yupp and everyone fishing for the other species should be able to put the fish in for grand prize if it beats out the prior grand prize fish. Its weight that matters, not species.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  22. The only thing I would do with a spawning salmon is feed it to my dogs. They taste like mush and stink like muck. Don't bring the tribs into this. So if no kings were stocked, then what would this lake be? Because it sure a hell wouldn't stop me from fishing it at any level. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  23. I guess that's all you can do. Not like they would listen to anyone else's statement or anything...Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  24. I guess if you have a big mouth, you will hear and see a lot of things. Not everyone is the same as you. Go chase all the kings you want everyday, but when they have lockjaw, what's your plan there "oh holy charter captain"?Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  25. Never said anything about the majority, but not everyone comes for kings. I myself, and many others come for variety mixed with the size. I would have no problem coming to Lake Ontario for a charter fishing with someone you can have a good time with only to catch a couple browns or lakers. I guess if you fish "as much as you", you would only appreciate reeling in a king. Variety is great and the size of all the other fish is just as incredible as a king, but who seriously would come to Lake Ontario and be promised to catch a salmon? That's the act of a bad charter captain because if you fish as much as you say you do, you would know that no one can guarantee or promise a fish. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
