  1. Good Morning!  Please go to Blood Run Tackle tackles web site, they will explain all the features of the small vs. big boards. I was a die hard big board guy in the finger lakes area as well up to lake Ontario. After reading and understanding their articles, they made the transition really simple. Very helpful folks and great products, hope this will help!  Tight lines!!    Blackie

  2. Jimalbert- Big trucks, construction equipment, saws, generators, ect are my business. You stated that the motor was winterized and summarized, that leads me to believe that Stabil was probley added to the fuel. Ethanol fuel will  definatly damage older engines and fuel systems if not protected, If Stabil was added you might get lucky, if not your looking at problems, my advice is to get as much old fuel out of the tank and add Seafoam, if there was was no damage caused by the ethanol standing in the fuel system that long- good your lucky, if there is a problem your only out a can of Seafoam. Seafoam is an enhancer and a cleaner, Stabil does just exactly what the name states, it stabilizes the fuel and does a good job of it. Good luck and tight lines  Blackie

  3. Sorry, I don't mean to take anything from a local fellow, but nobody touches my Okuma reels but Paul at Tuna's Reel Troubles. I own over 30 Okuma reels and  get great service and very fast turn around and they are a factory authorized warrenty repair center for Okuma, very good to deal with  tight lines, good luck!

The Spindoctors are New still unopened and include many great colors. The case is used but still in good shape and fully functional. They can be picked up in Brockport or Rochester. I can also accept PayPal and ship for additional cost.

I sold a different set of spindoctors. If you look at my other listing you can see these are a different group. Thanks

  5. Each to his own, personally I don't have a problem with any length of copper and use it religiously, have for over 50 years! I am 63 years old and my shoulders are just fine, of course I've worked hard all my life and I'm not scared of a little hard work. That said the only problem I have is finding a reel that will handle 6 or 700 feet of copper and the proper amount of backing. I am using 6/0 Penn Senators without level winds. These are difficult for someone without experience to use. Any suggestions for a level wind reel that will handle 700' of copper and backing?

  6. yes, I have changed lots of tip eyes. They are available from Bass Pro, Cabelas, maybe even your local bait and tackle shop. You can carefully heat your existing tip and remove it, clean the end of the tip, select the correct size tip for replacement, and I use arrow knock cement to fasten the new tip. Most tip replacement set will even come with its own cement.  Good luck

  7. I bought all new Okumas a couple years back because I couldn't find a reliable place to have my Diawas repaired. I had all sorts of issues with the Okumas right off the bat. Called the factory, and recieved absolutly no help, so I called the man I bought the reels from and he suggested I call Tuna Toms. I did just that, needless to say I was pretty upset, I talked to a gentleman named Paul, he got me calmed down, I explained the problems and also told him that I had called the factory and got no where. Paul said box them up and send them- all 18 of them! They did most of the work free of charge, I gladly paid the balance and they were returned the reels in 7 working days. Great service and quality work, have used these folks many times since, but it still bothers me that I had to send brand new reels to a independent repair shop to get them to work properly, I guess I'm not fully sold on  Okuma Products  Tight Lines

  8. just about the time i convince myself that my pro-troll flashers are the hot ticket the spin doctors turn on and we catch a bunch of fish on them i guess there isn't a clear cut answer. the past couple of years i have been trying different lead lengths between the flasher or sd to the bait or fly. i have discovered that the old standard rule of thumb is only a place to start, if your not hitting fish, adjusting speed and lead length will usually start producing fish  good luck and tight lines!

  9. Hey Guys, I have too much tackle and not enough room in my cuddy for it all - or time to run it. I need to thin the herd.

For sale : I have a load of brand new MC Rockets artificial herring strips ( www.mcrockets.com ) I have about every color made and then some in both reg and mag sizes. MC Rockets work awesome and I catch lots of my biggest fish on them every year. Since I haven't been tourney fishing much the past two years I am not using many and on average you can get 10 - 15 fish on just one before they get chewed up.

    Part of my collection
