  1. Anyone using these downriggers ? I want to put them on my '05 Lund 1950 tyee. I like the bottom tracking feature that will connect to my humminbird 999 si. Also what #LB weight should I buy for these. I found them for $698 each plus you get a $50 rebate each from Cannon. Opinions please and if you run this with a humminbird, would like to know everything I need to hookup right...thanks :)

  2. I was sitting at the locks in Bobcaygeon listening to that song on a beautiful houseboat  last Saturday night..special times up there for sure, lots of friends  there and the people I take seem to always love it. Just got back from another 4 day trip with 3 friends, had a blast, caught 14 muskie, lost a few, only 1 walleye which was a bit disappointing but you can't have everything all the time. I will post more pics under a new thread soon.

  3. Just a couple of the fish we caught the past 2 weekends...Water still too warm, though we did get 6 fish with a 52" beauty . Just got home last night and heading back up for 4 days on a houseboat with a few buddies. Hopefully get some more Muskie's and a few walleye for dinner, fishing goes great with beer :). If you would like to rent a houseboat and do some fantastic fishing anytime of year contact my friends Jill and Frank Quast at Happydays houseboats...hopefully more pics to follow after the weekend.

  4. There are some thick and heavy fish in Pigeon ! I'm at Pigeon Lake trailer Park but keep my boat at Happy Days houseboats. Jill and Frank are good friends of mine .. I've been up there for 22 years now..I know of the places you speak of. I love it up there and the fishing doesn't get much better. Thanks for your help Ivan .. I'll keep you posted.

  5. I have a trailer on Pigeon Lake in the Kawartha's (north of Peterborough) Ontario. Big Walleyes, bass and musky in there. i've caught several over 50". Make my own Lures, yes the Honda is going on this weekend, going out of Sandy creek tonight around six to try the maul downriggers and a couple spoons..any suggestions on depth to fish over would be greatly appreciated...this is my 1st time with riggers.

  6. Great guys thanks....My journey to south carolina takes me by the new  Cabela's in Buffalo :)  So I think I will stop there on my way back and alittle more certian of different things I need...could get very expensive! LOL...I bought the boat on Ebay, will give it a good going over and test ride when I get there there, Older gentleman, says that 200 hrs would be a stretch on the boat. Looks like brand new and very well maintained, I've heard you can check the hours on a '05 200 hp EFI, I'll do that when I get home. In talking with him I am confident in this boat, '05 1950 Lund Tyee  for $17,500...think I did well. Check it out ,  click on pic. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-Lund-1950-Tyee-Gran-Sport-fishing-boat-freshwater-garage-kept-/261562665808?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=H27CKn85Y3aIBK%252BuL5h9WgA5RaM%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

  7. I just purchased a 2006 1950 Lund Tyee with a 200hp Merc EFI on it. I want to hook my 2003 Honda 15hp xl to the main motor. I have an ez steer system on my old boat, but no longer want to lean over motors to connect it. Does anyone know what brand of hydraulic steering they used in 2006 Lunds ? Looking at whats out there for connectors it seems this could make a difference. Would like to know what is the best product to hook up outboard to outboard. I have to go to south carolina to pick up the boat this weekend  and want to order the connections asap. Thanks in advance for your opinions and ideas.
