ok..makes sense..thanks guys.

i figured they would swing out noticeably from the tip of the rod...mine don't seem to..even on 4 setting.

It's giant that's for sure! What did your dog of it, haha? I just noticed him in the background
Dog's name is Lucy...she loves it out there when I take her . 1st time I took her out I hooked a big muskie...don't know what she was thinking, she jumped right in the water, 1st time she's ever been in water! LOL, my son grabbed her by the collar when she circled back around...she won't do that again.

I have 3 of the Chinook Brand in #3-#4...Are these supposed to swing out away from the boat 10-15' or so ? No matter what setting I have the sinker on mine don't swing out far at all. Is there a trick like tweeking the bottom fin(that attaches to the line/lure) that needs adjusting...i feel these are way to close to my riggers..only going out about 5'.

Judging by the weight and size of other Lakers on this site I'm thinking 30 lbs give or take a few
-
The 23.14 we won the summer loc with was 37" and fat. I would say 18-22lbs. The 24.11 I have on my wall was 39", and the 34.06 was 43 3/8" lnch
you have a pic of that winner ?

Didn't weigh it...40- 42"...mid twenties I'm thinking maybe more

Love it..my kids will tell you I'm the same way !! If your going to do something...do your best, that's all you or anyone can expect from you. Sit at camp...not fish...LOL !

Was tough out there and very hot, especially without a Bimini top. You sir are a diehard and your teaching your son to become one too( not a bad thing) ! Glad you got to spend quality time on the water with your boy and caught some fish.

Thanks guys, I'm new to salmon/trout trolling this year with riggers and dipsey's, ect. It's been expensive and tough fishing for me. My catch per hour ratio would definitely put me in the diehard class ! My catch vs money spent ratio would probably put me in the loony class..LOL. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Grew up a diehard fisherman!

Love it ! Great fish !

I went out of Sturgeon Point on Sat. . Lake was rocking pretty good..we fished from 6 am til 2. Marked a ton of fish from 50 to 30,,, 1 walleye, lost a few, 1 catfish and a ton on silver bass.. not much biting except the silvers were all 0ver our worm harnesses..should've ran cranks instead I'm thinkin'...next time.

There gone....I've fished Lewis and all the area you mentioned for years with great success. Those days are gone, I don't even bother anymore. 1 or 2 big fish just before dark, if your lucky, doesn't cut it for me, no little bass around for years spells doom. I hope the bounce back, gobies really hurt them here I think, not like Erie where they seem to thrive. Good luck and hope you find them !

Heading up to Erie early Saturday morning out of the small boat harbor . I have 2 manual riggers and 1 10 color leadcore rod. Figure I'll fish 2 sticks of the riggers, worm-harness of the leadcore and 4 rods off my big planer boards with #2 tadpoles and worm-harnesses. Where to fish ? Fish the fence, how deep and are the fish suspended ? 1st time to Erie. Thanks, Gary

Great stuff guys !!

Ok ..so I take it I'm using a snap swivel and tying the lure side to the looped end and snapping it on the main line after I have run my rigger down to desired depth...this will slide down my main line approx half way. No need for a second rod and less likely to tangle...correct?
Boat Trailer needs new tires

Kost Tire on ridge road did mine, I took them off though and brought them up there..I'm sure you could just take the trailer there though
