  1. I have been fishing the pool and it comes and goes. it comes in for a few hours or more and shuts down the fishing, then clears out. the boom is still in so there lots of ice yet to come down from erie. there is a cam pointed at mouth of Niagara river that I check for ice conditions.
  2. one of those got my dad a 38 lb salmon many moons ago
  3. fished 30-50 ft of water from 300pm-800pm. 1 for 3. fish landed weighed 16 lbs. 2 more screamers that we lost, one of which was right at side of boat in the dark. first 2 hits came on flatline w /jetplaner and spoon. last hit came on freshly charged glow dodger 20 ft down on rigger. that's probably a wrap on our salmon season.
  4. yeah I have been on the pier as well and seen a few caught, not in high numbers, but they are coming in @ night. have heard there are a few in the channel. the current was barely moving last night.
  5. browns should definitely be in tight with the salmon. my guess is the bows would be scattered because I have seen/heard of pier catches this time of year while throwing for salmon. lakers still on the bottom as usual?
  6. fished from 4-730. action was nil for first 3 hrs. trolled in/out of 40-60. nearing 720 when we were about to pack it in, we hit a double header in 44 ft of water. 15 & 22 lbs. 22 hit glow dodger down 40 ft. 15 hit purplish spoon at 35 ft. we packed it in shortly thereafter.
  7. went out this evening 5-830 pm. 6/9. a 24, 19, 10 lbs, and 3 small shakers. lost 2 bigguns that broke off the flys. all but one hit came on a glow dodger, 50 over 70. no dipsys or coppers, too old school for that stuff.
