looking at the web cam  this am     I see no  ice at all

looking  pretty dam good   I would say  I know there  is a lot of pack ice to the  east  that is moving    just be careful what  way the wind is blowing

is there any place where  you can keep your boat in the water   and  also  stay there ?

 it  may be a 4 or 5 days  by that time   Wrights  should be open    the east  wind   has pushed  the ice pack   back  to  Fair haven   is I just looked  at the web cam on Moon Beach    by the  time it gets  pushed  back  east  most of it will be gone

that ice pack is  getting pushed west  all the way past  Moon Beach   by the time  it gets pushed back  it will  be almost  gone

thanks for that John  I dropped  the  hitch 4 inches  cause  the F350  is pretty high she rides level now..  I have learned a lot  about boat trailers  the last week or so.

I took  the back set of rollers  off and moved them  forward in an empty pre drilled spot then moved  the boat 6 inches  forward took  it for a spin   got to 65  with no issues, now im going to pump out  some fuel  and  get some urethane caps  to put on the back of the trailer  I will  see  how that works  talking to boat on and off  the bunk tilts right down   so I don't think it will be a major  issue   if so    the   saws all    will  fix it.   A big thanks to all that responded  this site is  priceless  and a awesome  group  of  fisherman   here.  

the 6220lbs includes  the weight of the  trailer  I think is 1350  going to find that  out.  I think rather  than move the axle  with 4 bolts  I can take  the most rear rollers  out  and move them  forward.  it  seems  a easier  task.

 I   just  sold a 96 with  115hp and  9.9 kiker with electronics   for 8500.00

towing a 23 ft boat w 200hp and 9.9 kicker on an Armstrong bracket   cant  go over  50-55 mph. trailer I s a load- rite rated 5400lb   boat motors and trailer  weigh 6220  with  125 gal of fuel.   On the   hitch  weigh  5760    I did the tongue weight with scale  figured 540lbs   I have brought  the boat  4 inch  forward on the trailer  I cant go more  unless  I move a set of rollers  or  move a axle . Pulling  with a F350  v10  and already dropped the hitch  4 inches.  Should  I increase   tongue weight  up to 15 %   Its a long way to the big O  @50.   any suggestion's????

if you  can invest  in a  set of boards  there  are many places on line  that show  how to make  your own  for short dollars, also  you can make  your own  mast   a buddy  of mine  once used a  heavy deep sea  boat rod  in a rod holder  that   worked   fine for him.    Im thinking  it would  really  increase your  catch

go on coastwatch  click  on the areal view   all the ice  is pushing  that way

in   early  May there is not much of a need  to run  divers  your best fishing  is  5-20 feet of water until  boat  traffic gets  heavy and or sun gets high   then   20-30   is fine.   The  Chinook diver when released  has much less drag  than  all other  divers just sand the edges before using

yesterday  at Moon Beach  a few miles west  the web cam showed all open water  today  about 100 yards  of ice   then open  water  the ice is shifting  all  over   by doing that its eating  up fast.

We will  be a bit west of you  starting in the 18 for 2 weeks
