  1. i have the Lowrance unit just like a 3rd person in the boat and dont complain at all
  2. i had thought i saw they stopped some of the pen rearing in several locations due to a cut back in stocking numbers a couple of years ago ?
  3. now that it has been a couple of years since the stoppage of most of the pen reared fish in many areas , will there still be spring king fishing ? well catching is what i am more interested in
  4. we made those from old windshield wiper motors for trolling flies for landlocks 40 years ago they worked well
  5. call them while your out on the water they will trouble shoot with you and get you running properly they are very good with customer service
  6. look at a company Beemer Precision at their K couplings find out your shaft sizes and length that you need
  7. we have caught a few in the pond over the years but not a lot that's for sure
  8. wow that really sucks I do believe that the pen rearing has done very well for the fishing around Fair Haven and a real good job was done taking care of the fish and releasing them .
  9. 6 fish today 140-240 90 down 45 degrees all spoon bite lemon ice still hot for us
  10. we were out early had a mess early ended up 3 for 3 off the water by 11 all spoon bite
  11. way too much I have been getting them on ebay much better priced some just like new
  12. today 1 king 1 rainbow 5 browns all in under 20 feet of water
  13. 4//21 4/22 be boated 7 kings `13-17 lbs 25 browns about 8 of them with broad shoulders Bay Rats and thunderstick jr did the catching west was best
  14. I will be there in 11 days for couple weeks cant wait to start the season
  15. we are heading to Fair Haven for a couple weeks on 4/20 have been going around that time on and off for 40 years and always did well last year caught more spring Kings than ever before hope some of those guys are around this spring .
  16. I have a couple of Fenwick DR 2C rigger rods with broken tips I would like the tips replaced and a couple of eylets moved. Is there anyone doing rod repair work around ? That's what happens when you let the guys get lazy slapping the water with the rod to get rid of fleas
  17. just about anywhere your local bait and tackle shop should have something
  18. look at a Northcoast 235 cabin its small enough to trailer around and give you the protection of a cabin and has all that you need for great lakes fishing look around for a used one , but I will tell you they don't last long usually they sell right away. Take a day trip to the factory in Bristol RI you will be impressed at the quality and workmanship
  19. too bad he had a whole life in front of him , I hope you guys realize that the whole show is scripted they film for 4 or 5 weeks and then do nothing but cut and paste. Duffy and Tyler were a pair that would beat a full house. I have fished out there along side of them many many times
  20. we only went as deep as 300 in 2 weeks time some were coming out setting up in 100 feet and some going to the deep I would try at 150 to 250 first I don't know if the temp is getting any better im thinking it has anyway any color works as long as its green
  21. we have fished there the last 2 weeks came home last nite to chase tuna. We were catching all you wanted till the lake flipped the last 4 days or so we fished hard to catch 4-6 a day . We have been in 150-230 ish most of the time dipsies at 275 riggers from 70-110 as long a it was green it worked for us with the exception of Lemon Ice was a hot spoon
  22. 7/19 7 for9 fished 230-270 100down dipsys and riggers at 90-100 were the best 22lbs was the best fleas still suck
  23. 3 for 4 this morning 6-10 and I spent most of it untangling a dipsy with my rigger line 3 on spoons 1 on a dipsy at 275 over 200-240 then the ponies started to turn into stallions and we went for breakfast
  24. fishing this morning 7 for 7 all high teens and 20s 200-250 same program as yesterday man those fleas really suck
