2nd the changing to fluorocarbon, also the leader seems short for a spoon. I usually run the leader a couple of feet longer than the rod.

I had a 2001150 that ran rough for a year, have you checked the exhaust sensor? I chased this around all summer until I changed a $60 part then everything was fine.

I’ll take them, pm sent

Bogo and drag for me

So I’ve had a fish hawk, depth radar (on current boat) and a sub troll. All do the exact same thing, financially do yourself a favor and buy a used sub troll (under $250) and save $500 dollars. Knowing where the temp breaks are is critical to bait placement.

Looking for 2 copper reels (300 and 400) doesn’t need to be line counters. I already have the line so unspooled is preferred. PM me if you have any for sale or trade.

I used these for years on my old boat, they never broke. The only issue is that they are not very friendly to adjust, especially at sea.

Has anyone ever been able to fit a 400 on a 45 reel using braid backer?

Interstate usually will
give you a little
extra for the core as well, and they sometimes have very affordable blemished batteries for a good price.

If you don't want to clog this thread up, could you pm or post what your issues were with the steel ? Thanks
Sure thing, the biggest issue I had with steel is I didn’t catch anything ....

I don't want to go off topic, but have you considered the weighted steel ? Appears to have a ton of benefits over copper.

Trying copper again this year, getting a 300 and a 400. 4 questions:
1. 32lb or 45lb
2. Is there one brand that is better than another
3. What is the best way to connect it to the leader and backer?
4. How long of a leader?
thanks

Has anyone ever tried to fish live bait for salmon or steelhead in the lake? I’ve been watch a lot of saltwater shows and was wondering if anyone has tried similar tatics in the lake?

Something like seadek how did you start the process?

Has anyone ever used fake Teak on their back deck? Just wondering the cost and complexity of installation. Any pictures would also be helpful.
