Had a client meeting in cortland county this morning. A 4 pt had his nose to the ground crossing a rural county road..... no rush. Not a care. Lol. Its hard to stay focused at work when u see stuff like that.

We planted apple trees at camp. They were caged forever it seems. thank goodness we planted about a dozen because every year we lost at least one to deer. They are determined critters. Lol.

Had a 6 pt bulldog his way through the parking lot at work a couple days ago, lol. It was around 1 pm. I work in an office complex.... last place you expect to see a whitetail. Guess things are picking up. Lol

We have a 1984 2500 I/O. Great boat. Overall the boat has held up very well for her age. She gets buffed and waxed every year. That really helps keep her looking youthful. The ride is great. Its a very heavy hull. Around 4600# if memory serves. 200 hp might be a little under powered. I think you'd be happy with if everything seems to be in order. They are a quality boat. Definitely have a mechanic take a look at an outboard of that vintage... compression test, etc. Good luck!

Too bad the DEC will not make a common sense adjust to the bass season until there is a real problem. Always better to be reactive i guess.
First or second week of July opener would be fine by me for bass.... best fishing is later in the year anyway. Would love to see population improve.

Typical smallmouth structure. Mid river humps, points, swift water breaks, dont overlook weed beds and clam beds. Be patient and Use ur electronics to locate fish and fish holding structures. Drop shot. u will stick some pigs [emoji200]. Good luck.
