  6. They definitely mow zebras! Seen them in stomach contents. Also crabs and the occasional minnow from what i have read. If u look in their mouth u can see they have little hard plates.... for crushing shells I assume. Feel like drum don’t get the credit they deserve. Great fighters, Decent table fare, And they play an important role in our river ecosystem. Cool fish imho. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. Drum are delicious. They eat a diet similar to smallies. The key is getting on ice as soon as they are caught. The meat starts to decompose quickly otherwise and will taste fishy. If handled correctly its firm and delicious!! Under 8 pounds are best. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. Great catch Kevin. Making memories. Good stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. Makita is 1180 lbs. have had my LXT 18v hammer drill for 5 years. Extremely reliable. Drilled a lot of holes. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  11. Kevin, Very exciting!!! Congrats on a great catch and prioritizing it’s successful release. Muskie are such a precious asset to our fishery and vulnerable in the summer months as surface temps rise. I keep nipps and bolt cutters in the boat for just such an occasion. I am pleased to hear the muskie released u safely, as well. Kno less fortunate anglers who have lost fingers tangling with big fish in nets. Thank you for being a fine steward of our river and sharing this wonderful experience. Tight lines. Esox Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Some good looking forage there Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. I believe the most recent comprehensive fishery study indicated that overall Bass population was down nearly 25%. Gobie and other pressures were thought to b the cause. Not good. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Nice catch Kevin!! I fished father’s day with my son. We hunted and pecked for a bit but ended up getting on a bunch of fish. Lots of action but most fish were in the 11-13” range. Also got on a nice school of jack perch. Great day on the water. Hope u had a good father’s day. Cheers. Esox. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  16. Harvested a buck today. Dropped 10 yds from my stand. Waited 20 min. As i was getting down saw a yote about 75 yds away making a b- line for my deer. He made it about 25 more steps. Couldn’t believe how quickly that yote was on the job. Beautiful coat. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Still for sale? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  18. Hello gents, Just purchased a boat and working on some upgrades over the winter . Probably a long shot but...... would anyone be interested in selling a self deploy/stow bow mounted trolling unit? Would possibly consider assisted unit. Suggestions and input also welcome. Appreciate your consideration. Please PM. Thank you so much. Tight lines! Respectfully, EsoxAC Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  21. So much water to explore even in the areas we fish regularly!! Think u could spend a lifetime on the water and not hit every piece of structure from the cape to the bay. The opportunities are endless [emoji51] Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  22. Nice work roughrider!! Time, effort, and patience pay off the most in the Walleye game- as u kno. Took me 2 years to put together all the pieces to consistently catch. This season i have been trying different techniques and it has been very humbling. Reminds me of when i first started chasing eyes. The river is a small place. Unfortunately no spots are sacred. I was fishing with my 10 year old last week and had a boat muscle me out of the spot we were catching while we landed a fish. If my boy wasn’t with me I would have had some choice words to wish those guys good luck. To prof Ts point, I prefer getting out before anyone even rolls over in bed. It’s beautiful. Few more weeks of good fishing. Tight lines!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  23. Incredible boat. That hull design led to the design of the legendary 31 bertram. C. Raymond Hunt was decades ahead of his time. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
