I know ski heads can be tight lipped about the what, where, and when.... Particularly on the river. However, there must be some summer success stories out there or some inadvertent hook ups. I have heard that the smallie fishing,this year in particular, has been very spotty all over. I too am waiting for the late season bite that is soooo awesome! Cant wait!! Thanks again for the words of wisdom Kevin and Trapper. Trolled for 3.5 hrs yesterday evening with my uncle, cousin, and a family friend. Boated a nice 7lb eye and a 33" northern. Ivan is right on the money. As the summer progresses Large northerns move deeper. 25-50 depending on water temp. Typical predator structure with access to deep water is usually a good bet. Fish the deep water ledge. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
