Pap, it will push my 21ft crestliner 7mph, but I have never pinned it to get a max speed. I am fairly certain you would have no problem doing 3mph.

Thank you! I have had no issues with the motor at all! That is the exact reason I went with the Tohatsu in first place. I plan on getting another, but I need the 25 inch shaft for my Crestliner.

2015 Tohatsu 9.8 4-Stroke I am selling a 2015 Tohatsu MFS9.8L 4-stroke tiller outboard motor. It is a 9.8 hp with a 20 inch shaft. The motor has forward, neutral and reverse. I have used it as a kicker for a year (purchased new summer 2016). The motor has less than 30 hours on it, and was serviced for the 20 hour break in service. This was completed last fall before stored. Has never been stored outside. The motor has the balance of the 5 year factory warranty. I am selling because I need a 25 inch shaft on new boat.
