  1. wondering if u target kings and pick up the browns along the way or do you run a brown specific set up? if the latter i would appreciate hearing what tweaks you make. thanks and nice fish!!
  2. Trolled east in 110’ and came back west in 70’. My 12 yo Jack did a banner job managing this 2xl! Caught in 65’ with a flasher fly combo on the dipsy. Spunky on the release despite the photo shoot.
  3. Temperature breaks were funky tonight! Started at 65 over 130 fow. Temp. was 55+ but stayed with the marks-plenty of them. Did 3 kings (3 includes the banana sized one). Trolled in to 110 and found the cooler water (49) at 85 feet, nothing on the screen with one pass. Fumbled the lamprey on the one yard line by the way. On an unrelated note thanks for the lead on good wind and wave apps. A mix of Windfinder and Buoyweather are proving helpful for me and my smaller boat.
  4. The steelhead bite has been hot 70 feet over 205 fow…not so much for kings though. Which leads me to question if kings coexist with steelhead when they are aggressively feeding?
  5. I fish Braddocks regularly and agree they are a bigger issue. I am not getting any buildup from my flasher and dipsy to my lure though. Like one poster said cleaning up during regular lure checks is the added inconvenience. I have not considered that they may contribute to a lower catch rate though. It is very satisfying to strip them off the wire though. I broke my own record and collected at least four feet of them above one dipsy. Be sure to flick them off the boat otherwise they attract those darn biting flies.
  6. Mud line was over 50-60 FOW. I stay just off bottom thus the lakers.
  7. Flat seas and chilly. Slowed my troll to 2.4 and bumped into a few. Stingray Spoons with a ladder pattern at the mud line. My biggest laker…not much of a fight though.
  8. Interesting as we went with Wicked Ridge too and it has an anti-dry fire mechanism that can fool you into thinking you are fully cocked. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. Holy fast! We sighted in yesterday. No major issues other than bolts easily traveling through our block. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. Brooks is probably our best bet if we go with a club. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. Thanks for the lead!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. Thanks! He is experienced with all implements via scouts etc. I have stayed busy searching for good options. Just not a ton out there that beats me driving the 75 minutes to our hunting spot to set up a target. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
