If you are going with manuals pedestals are nice. Saves your back and knuckles.

No, I put the pt under the gunwales and used big jon swivel bases on top. Never had a problem in four years of running that boat. I own cannons now with swivel bases, I believe you could thru bolt them into the pt like I did with the big jons. Good luck, pm me if you have any more questions. Matt

If you have access to the gunnels back them with pt decking. I did this on a boat and it was really strong.

Keep the Mexico reports coming, three weeks and counting!

I've owned tdr's for 20 years, caught my biggest landlocked on one. That being said, they are a club. Still own them and still fish them. Good rod for the money, not as sensitive as others. Good luck, Matt

There is an 18' sport angler for sale on the site

Just did the same thing alittle differently. 1/2 cpvc (2.50 at the depot) cut 3 1/2 in long with a slit on one end 1" deep. The slit is for the single hook on tandem flies, pull tight and everything stays neat. Good luck, Matt

Check out the Lund Sport Angler. Mine is the 18' but fishes much bigger, have had it in seas larger than my liking and performed better than me. Fit and finish is really good as well. Powered by a 115 Honda and a 9.9 kicker. If I did it again I would opt for the 135. Good luck with the search!
ps. you do give up comfort when running with this style boat but the trade off is worth it

Thanks guys I appreciate it. Good luck out there, Matt

Anyone know where to find a wire dipsey dive chart? Blood runs site only has copper charts. My local lake isn't deep enough to chart it my self with a TD. Thank you, Matt

Just bought one and will be attaching this weekend. Whats wrong?

Setting up a wire diver for the first time. What knot should I use to the terminal connection? Thank's for the input, Matt

My friend just changed both ends on his old riggers, his power cables were cracked. Said it took hour on each.

New ones are only about $18 on fish 307

how long are these spoons ?

I have a 9' medium that I use with a lite bite on Champlain. Like it fine so far.

When calibrating I find it helpful to move the rigger to the side of the boat to get the hawk away from the boat turbulence. I then calibrate the hawk to gps speed never paying attention to the fish hawk paddle wheel speed.
