  1. Von Strahan Stanley ny....hes past 110 for the season already have met him many many times. His line is not that long at any givin moment he is just very good and been doing it a very long time. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  2. That's very cool. My dad bought his first car on rat furs also caught out if the alleghany river less than 15 miles from where I live now. There is still some money in rats if you can find them in decent numbers. I'm happy if I can buy my red bull and breakfast sandwich habit for the season lol. Good thing its a he'll of alot of fun. 3. Next time just ask me to move.....lmao Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  4. October arguably the best 5 deer season days of the year. Fur is garbage Dec really stuck it to us. I didn't even set for them this year bc of it. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  5. Well with 2017 set to end here pretty quick what are some of your personal 2018 goals. Fishing related or not. I'll start Catch my first spring brown (1st brown from lake O) Catch the 4 pack on a finger lake Fish with some of the great guys I have met on this forum. Have fun with the family chasing fish. Unfortunately for me my parents just moved to south Carolina last week so fishing with my dad will be a challenge this year. Hopefully when he comes up we can get on some fish and enjoy the time together also. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  6. Buddy had a red fox get in and kill 19 chickens in a few hrs one afternoon over this past summer. I never would have guessed fox but he caught it on camera from his security system. Crazy my first guess was mink or weasel with what time of day it happened. But please don't kill them all many of us enjoy hunting and trapping them lol. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  7. This is the anwser to anyone who has an issue.... especially the last part. As a life long trapper (and I know there's others here to) would be more than happy to help get people on the right track trapping wise. Fisher are killing machines but I also believe they are opertunistic if a turkey is easy to grab they will or a porky muskrat beaver carcasses or anything else much like a yote. But I have talked to many seasoned Fisher trappers from the adks who say they are devastating on Turkey. We can all agree they kill. And kill efficiently no matter the prey. 13. Skin flesh and sell... I actually found a guy who pays decent for them. He owns and operates a coon dog club down south and uses them to train his pups. Still d9bt target them tho Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  14. I have a friend on Facebook who is a trapping guru and has written a few books on trapping also. Said he has been seeing more and more Fisher tracks throughout the fingerlakes. Actually the first Fisher I had heard about being caught outside the adks was in naples NY some 15 years ago when I was in high school. If I remember right it made the paper. Down here in catt county (most counties on pa border) have been seeing the population explode over last few years. More and more cam pics and now even have a short trapping season. Fisher are Turkey killers as pap said as they will pluck them right from the roost. Also eat porcupines. Just like any other predator they need to be kept in check. Hopefully after the study the Dec are doing down here for next few years they will expand the study toward the fingers also. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  15. Will do..... Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  16. Thx I'll have to look him up.... Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  17. Looks great where about is he located? I try to let different artists do each piece of mine....i hope to start on my sleeve soon. Been awhile since my last one. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  18. I've been looking for a copy but also have a hard time justifying that kind of price...every now and again I come across one on eBay for 100 or so. Can download the app version but it doesn't look nearly as good. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  19. Fisher as said....very cool critters built to kill. In my opinion probably the best predator in NY lb for lb. The way thru go thru the woods is awesome to watch as they go u0 and down trees. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  20. Well as my season has gone this year what a better way to wrap it up than with a clean miss on a 6 pt today at 330 after I left work 125 yards out.....skunked Here's hoping my trapping season goes better. Long line will be in ground Thursday next week.... Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  21. Personally I wouldnt....the accuracy and safety (as far as I know) is dependant on the powder and bullet seating the same every time. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  22. Idk y pics turned on me.... Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  23. Took day off to chase doe with the muzzle loader saw a few couldn't connect also saw a mom and 2 cubs. Pretty cool...second time on that property Sorry about bad pics she didn't stick around long enough for pics of here so took a pic of their tracks. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  24. I keep powder and bullet in and when ever it's loaded I have a balloon over the barrel also. On protects from water or debris getting into it. As said above don't take it in and out of the house that's just asking for issues I leave mine in my garage and truck for season. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  25. I use the cci and haven't had an issue knock on wood. I'm assuming that's got to be where your issue is. I can shoot mine as many times as I want and it will not hang fire. Accuracy sucks after 5 shots and the sabot becomes hard to load but it will still go bang. Good luck keep us posted on how you make out Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
