  1. Good luck, can’t wait to hear how your night goes. I will post in the late morning
  2. I am planning to go out for my first set ever Sunday morning. The wife will be picking her sister up at the airport with the kids so it should be the perfect time for me to hunt. We shall see how this goes. Any tips are welcomed.
  3. What kind of lights do you guys recommend for night hunting ? Scope mounted red or green ?
  4. Hey guys, I’m super excited to see a post in here about hunting coyotes. I follow Rob’s post daily throughout all of deer season. Fortunately I had a successful deer season but unfortunately I seem to have come across too many coyotes as usual. This year I plan to put some effort into hopefully taking some out of the area where I hunt. I am very new to calling in coyote but I have had good success in shooting them throughout the deer season. All the coyote I have ever seen have been in the morning hours after sunrise. I have never seen them in the evening while hunting. I shot this one mid gun season.
  5. This is my before and after picture story. I shot my first buck this year with bow 1 day before my wife’s expected due date. My second buck I shot with gun as you can see I have my baby girl there in the picture.
  6. Just wanted to follow up on my buck I shot from early this morning. Next time one of your friends tells you you’re a buck magnet after you shoot one. Take caution because I hit another nice buck on my way home from hunting.
  7. Great to see you get the kids involved with the hunt DJ 17. Also a great buck. I just want to follow up on my post and say thanks to all for the shared enthusiasm. The property I hunt in Bristol really came active once it received good management. The deer activity has really improved once management of food plots, hinge cutting and travel corridors were implemented. Within the last three years of management we’ve harvested 3 buck for the wall. We have also encountered coyotes and bear while the property continues to hold the big deer. Last year we planted turnips which was great late season and this year was clover which held deer all year. It’s incredible to see the improvements the management have done to the property and just three years. If you have any questions on the management techniques we did, message me. I will post some pictures from the property to show how improvements to small hunting land goes a long way for great hunts.
  8. I normally sit quietly and read this hunting blog all season long. This year I’m lucky enough to post something. Sat 10/7 I sent my wife to get her nails done as that gave me a free night to hunt. Catch is that this is one day before the expected due date of our 3rd child (10/8). As of now we are still awaiting the birth. I hunted Bristol in a stand that has been very active leading into the season with lots of trail cam pictures. As I sat eagerly and awaited a phone call of labor.... I was lucky enough that night to take the buck we have been watching all summer. I hunt hard all season and sit all day long on my hunts as you just never know what may walk by. The warm evening hunt ended with a nice present to daddy.
  9. Shot this buck ( sat 10/7) one day before my daughters due date10/8. Shot in 8n
