Years back when I chartered on Lk O , if J recall correctly we would run the temp break offshore for steelhead starting about mid May thru June . Often times the anglers weren’t in tune with playing larger jumping fish like a steelies or bow . Generally I would pull a set off my boards and run riggers down ! Maybe a couple of LC lines in lieu of DD’s Anyhow long story short this photo will depict how I overcame losing many jumpers on the troll . I installed an assist hook in place of standard hooks on my plugs and spoons . This prevented many jump offs !
