  1. I too sometimes run 2 divers per side, especially on Erie for walleyes. I have run them on Lake O as well, if there isn't a real wonky current. It always worked better when I run the inside diver on a 1 setting and made this my deepest one. The outside diver (usually a slide diver with a 40 to 50' lead) was set on a 3 or 3.5 for separation. Outside was always higher. The idea is that a fish on the outside diver will go over the deeper inside diver as it swings to the back of the boat. Of course sometimes the fish has other ideas but this seems to minimize the risk of a tangle. When deploying divers, of course try to set the outside one first. But it is possible to set the outside one with the inside diver still deployed. Move the inside diver rod to a holder at the back of the boat running straight out the back. Let the outside diver out with the rod out the side of the boat. Keep pressure on with your thumb or drag so the diver immediately starts to swing out as soon as it hits the water. After its set to desired depth move the inside diver back to its rod holder behind the outside diver holder. Hope this helps a little.

  2. Have a pair of OR 12 inline boards with tattle flags. These have seen very little use and are in very good condition. Have the sturdy metal arms instead of the plastic ones. The arms have been modified (bent up) to help keep the line out of the water. Rear line anchor has been lowered to help board ride more level in the water. $60 firm. Thats half price of new at fish usa. you pay shipping.1564245023324.jpeg1564245078341.jpeg

  3. I've used Repel 100% deet, Cutter, Deep Woods Off and others. They work for about 10 mins right after spraying them on while they are wet. After that didnt phase the flies. It wasn't raining the last time I was out and flies were still biting bad. I think these little ankle biters were out for blood regardless of weather. A nice stiff breeze is about the only thing that keeps them down. The Sawyer Repellent does work better than anything else I've tried.

  4. Hey guys, wasnt sure where to put this but discovered something that works. Fished Erie last weekend and the stable flies were horrendous. Based on top ratings from consumer reports decided to give this a try. I bought it at Sportsman's Warehouse but Amazon and various places sell it. It works although I had to apply it every 4 hrs instead of the 8 they say...no deet.1563555497828.jpeg
