Slept in and hit up the launch at Hamlin around 730am no other trucks in the parking lot. Lake had a solid chop to it but started to lay down as we finished up the morning. My oldest son and I decided to keep it simple for my Birthday cruise. So we settled on setting up in 230ish to 70ish on a south troll and going with the waves south straight towards the mouth. Riggers parked at 48 and 59 ft down divers out 120 to 130 on a 2.5 setting we finished the morning with great and steady action 16 for 22 a mix of good steelhead younger and mature kings. Great day and more memories made.πΊπΈ

Made the trip up to the North Country with my Boss for the weekend and We were greeted with great weather and plenty of birds to play with. After putting a handful of birds to roost Saturday evening we made a solid plan for Sunday morning. After fly down Just a few soft yelps, clucks and purrs was all that was needed to break the Tom away from his 6 hens and present a shot for my boss at 30yds. High fives smiles and more memories made with the potential for a promotion as added bonus lol.. -

Opening day success in the North Country. Didn't get chance to roost anything the evening before so I made a decision to go back into a historical spot ive had good luck in. As the morning progressed I realized I couldn't have been in a more perfect Setup with hens roosted behind me Toms out in front. No need for any calling this morning I let nature take its course and watched the Toms parade on by at 30yds easy comfortable range for the mossberg 835 great end to day 1 and more memories made πΊπ² -

Made the trip up Yesterday afternoon with my son to the North country for Youth Turkey weekend. We were greeted with great weather and plenty of birds to play with after putting a handful of birds to roost we made a solid plan for this morning. After casting a few calls and moving into a better position 3 Toms broke away and came into easy shotgun range. My son put the Mossberg 835 to work and executed a great shot. High fives and more memories made πΊπ²

Very nice! J 13's chartreuse and Orange that was the standard being pulled behind the superskis back in the day with Brushcut charters. Then followed by some strict instructions to wheel the Penn Yan LOL... if anyone knew my grandfather they would understand the humor in my post. Again great job nice looking Brown!πΊπ²- 1 reply

Left I bay launch shortly after 7:30am headed east to Webster park. Deployed the 8 rod spread from 13 to 15 fow with only a couple of Browns coming to the net around 9:30am we took a peak outside the chalky brown water and found some greener water in 25' to 45' and the bites were better. We ended the day around noon 14 Browns 2 kings and 1 Atlantic lots of laughs high fives and memories made with the bigger kids today πΊπ²

Left the I bay launch a little later than expected and set up on a east troll to Webster park. Tried to deploy a 8 rod spread (boards, divers, riggers) action was fast and furious fished mainly with 4 rods. 35 landed mostly Browns and 2 kings all released nothing huge but a fun 1st trip for us. 730am to 10am chop picked up so we called it a early day. Boards with sticks 85' to 100' back Divers 14' out with spoons Riggers 40 back 7' to 8' down with spoons didn't matter it all worked. We stayed around 13 to 17 fow speeds 2.4 to 2.6sog
