Probably difficult to say knowing your in a river like you said. Not sure how much current there is. Did it do the same going opposite direction? Do you hear pump activating (trying to steer) when your going off course? There is a feature to step up the response from leisure to performance. I use this when it’s windy vs calm days. Gives it a quicker response when boat is being blown or pulled off coarse. Not sure if you tried that. For what it’s worth it, the 100 does sound small for your set up. Not sure without looking. You can verify it with your ram size on the hydraulics to what Raymarine suggests.
Yeah I hear all that. I went into the current and it held pretty well. Didn’t try any other settings yet. I went off the helm model when I ordered the system and it’s listed on the manual. The Delaware river is tidal and it has a lot of current at times but it wasn’t really ripping where I was on a flat. I’ll try the performance

So I recently purchased a raymarine ev 100. Installed in my fish master 210. It has a 250 and 9.9. It works pretty good. Tested it out in the river near my house. Seems like it goes off coarse by 5-10 degrees then corrects. Not sure if that’s just how they are as I’ve never used one. Couldn’t tell if it was from current or just being on the lower side of power for the size engine. Anyone have this set up? Did I purchase the wrong size autopilot🤯?

I’m not sure of how much ice is on the bay / channel. Just be sure to keep your eye out for that south wind. Icebergs fill the channel up and is a sh….t show to get back to the ramp.
Ahhh yeah good point. This winter is garbage!

Does anyone know if the ramp is open or will be by the weekend? I’m guessing the ice is gonna be melted. Might bring the boat instead…

Oneida...Sylvan beach. Silver not sure North or south but there out there. Cuba got huts on it. Several places north or west. What area you need ice? It's out there! Don't sleep on it this year. Get your spud sharpened and get out there!
Staying on Sodus next weekend. I was thinking onieda

Hahah Yupp same here. I have a trip
planned for Sodus 9-12. Hope it’s good after this cold snap.

Just curious if there is ice anywhere? I’m sure it’s not safe but after the next week or so I’d expect it to be close. This winter sucks!

What SLR bay?

If people don’t like people posting reports maybe they should stay off the forum?

I’d do 200-300-400. When you decide to get more by the in between lengths 250-350-450(if you wanna get a workout)

I’m switching from wire to braid. I’m thinking of switching to slick 8 instead of normal power pro. My reasoning is fleas may not stick to slick 8 with it’s coating. Anyone have experience trying it? I’ve had too many issues with wire. Lost a handful of dipsys too!

Last few weeks they haven’t been an issue.
Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario UnitedThat’s cool! I was wondering if they got worse till the end or died off for the fall weather.

I was thinking about asking the same thing..

I have only been fishing the lake for 3 years. Seems to me like the wind is constant. It’s tough to get out. Fished the Sodus pro am and that was by far the worst weather I’ve ever been out in!! Loved every minute though. Fishing wasn’t bad the few times I made it out this year for me. Let’s hope next year Mother Nature stops acting a fool.

With what I have wrapped up in the trip gas was the least of my concerns. Saturday night we got back to the room in Oswego at 12:30am (we visited Niagara after fishing) then lest Oswego at 5am for Oclott. Returned back to the room, packed up and headed to Maine at 10:30pm (11.5 hr ride). My wife drove the whole way home. I have Wifi in my truck so I started work at 8am. Long story short she was up 35 hrs and loved every minute of it.
I think your wife and my wife need to talk haha. She’d kill me!

All that gas money might’ve bought you a fish hawk😂 I hear ya though. Glad you got on some fish!

You may want to troll across current if you don’t have a FishHawk. It’s kinda tough to keep correct downspeed going with/into the currents. Typical spread each day is flasher/fly and spoons fast 2.2-2.8 mph from sunrise to 10am. Switch to a slow rolled 1.7-2.0 meat rig spread at 10am or when the morning bite dies. Without knowing the down speed or temp that’s what I would do. Fish from 50’ to 100’ down…
-
Last week was 150-250' for the most part. A lot of spoon bites in uv greens and black colors. Had an oddly good day on purple as well. Only took a few fish on flasher flies... Like hawk said- don't be afraid to burn the speed from time to time. We got most of our fish headed straight out or straight in. 40-90' down

Even in the main lake they're out of season? I know where I'm from in MI in the great lakes waters they're open all year long. Just close down inland lakes and tribs. Just asking as I'm not sure of the exact laws.
