    Thanks for the post. Great info. Appreciate you're willing to share. Boat goes in 1st week of May (way back in Shumway shed). Anxious to get out there.

    It does depend. I was thinking Rochester. 25" to 27" out from Oak would be 200 to 350 fow. Only a couple of miles offshore from Oak. 5 miles at Rochester. And into 500+ fow.

    My guess is that someone that says they are fishing the "25th" is that they mean .25 as in 43.25 latitude not 43 degrees 25 minutes. That would be 30 to 80 fow depending on where you were along the shore. Edit - maybe not. Other post suggested Oak rather than Rochester. 25" to 27" seems reasonable offshore at Oak.

    Really? That seems awfully far offshore and awfully deep.

    Not that I know of. Things are so compact these days, repair is basically replacement.
