I am not insensative, Tom. I do believe in proper training and the persons mental competance. These individuals from Conn. and Webster, had a deranged motive. Sick beyond allowing them in(or return) to our society.

I would more interesting:how many had prior felony assaults/killings and did time, and released. Or mentally unstable (re-hab) to be mainstreamed to our communities! I can't wait til Spring,to shake down my boat and enjoy the peace of mind off shore. It's been a few years. Fish or no fish,like being in another world,out there. Steve................

Gotta love media, they call it a .223 assault rifle. I have a friend who owns one and only uses it for target practice and competion. I have to look at the bic lighter as an example of what people are intending it's use to be.

Fathers,Mothers etc. have been properly training younger family members......with the assistance of the N.R.A. and gun shops etc. trained and certified people are the ones less likely to draw first blood.

This senseless act of taking human lives, hits home HARD! Anthony DiPonzio(my Nephew by marriage) a target by a deranged kid who slipped through the cracks of "our system."

Some of you may remember Pamela Moss,who was brutally raped and murdered. She was a neighbor of mine, when I was growing up. I still sign the petition to keep that B**tard from release from prison. I'll be signing the one for the little B**tard that shot Anthony.....if parole is ever offered! Got to stay on top of these, so that there is no way they will ever be a threat to our society! After a 31 yr. career in the public schools, you can pretty much tell which ones are going to be our major problems, in the future. Some of the kids have had assaults, burgleries, drug charges etc. They represent(in my opinion)not responsable enough, even for a drivers license. Many confiscated weapons in high schools.....NEVER hit the news! Teachers assaulted by STUDENTS! Give teachers CCW rights? NOT ON YOUR LIFE! Just think of what would happen if a WILD kid got a hold of their teachers gun???

Folks, if there is one thing I have learned in this crazy life is....."If someone wants something bad enough....they will get it!" First responders are the heros.......These senseless acts of mass taking of human lives could have been worse! We may slow it down......but prevent it? Not without taking away everyones RIGHTS. Just my opinion. I am very saddened by the depraved act of killing......whether it is a beautiful rainbow trout slammed on a rock by a jack a**. or an innocent child,adult-hero!

I am blessed to have a website like this one, that reaches thousands of members...like me, who protect their brothers and sisters......and respect all living things.

Not to be pro or anti any person or party. I will contact Senator Joseph Robach on the low water issue and start with him. He ran unopposed this past election. I have had favorable results from Joe in the past on other issues. I implore each reader of this post to do likewise with politicians. Personnally I have sat idle and am GUILTY of thinking"someone else will do it!" Wrong attitude.......I will reach out to him, to start with. Steve......................

I totally agree and might add, this is a prime time to re-build breakwalls,repair(or install new) launch ramps. As a home owner on Lake O, I am going to take advantage of a low water situation. My X-Mas wish for 2013 is a high enough water leval, for marinas and fishermen to enjoy the best fishery! 246-248 feet above sea leval, for the ENTIRE season. Steve.................

A very commendable effort you are making for your friend! My prayers are with Taylor and her family. I am a survivor of Hodgekins Lymphoma Stage 3B of 7 years now. This is Taylor's fight of her life! I'll be visiting First Niagara Bank, this week.

P.S. I had Dr. Richard Fisher at Strong Hospital for my Chemo Treatments.
