  1. Only one persons salmon & trout limit per boat can be entered regardless of how many are on the boat. Culling will be easier with more people on the boat because you'll be able to keep more (legal) fish to choose your final fish to submit.( ie: I'll have three people on my boat so I'll be able to keep up to 15 fish, but can only enter 5 fish in any legal combination.)

    All NYS reg's apply.

  2. absolutely, will be there with coolers and a tablet to record names, hate to get busted for toooooo many fish without proof of were they came from. not sure if they will buy it but it can't hurt if i get stopped.

Well we do have a good paper trail that you can take to the judge if it goes that far 1.gif

  3. OK Scott,I'll try and stay on top of it. Still adding night lights to my boat ya know.

It sure would be nice if someone will be collecting unwanted fish from the weigh-in to donate again this year like Rollie did last year. How about it Rollie,..you collecting again this year for your church group? If so bring lots of coolers.

Can't think of a better way to promote the good intentions of the LOU-All than that. This is the only tournament that everyone is in it for the fun & comradery0.gif,....not the money.

  4. Andy, the last time I was out fishing was when you saw me at the launch and you know how I kicked butt on that trip, 15.gif .

Even though I'll be betting against myself, I'll put my money on Elliot. If you behave yourself and are a good daddy Elliot will bring you along for his partner. Otherwise daddy stays home and cleans the barn.14.gif

  5. I spent all week rigging my boat for Saturday. If you see this before sun up then don't get to close. Dipsey's, planners, riggers, 5 core, 10 core, copper, thumper,..... it will all be out.....anything to catch a fish. 9.gif

This is a walleye tournament isn't it?

  6. That sure looks like a galvanized trailer to me and that break is rusted so it must have been like that for awhile. Same thing happened to my 2 year old Shorelander. Manufacturer replaced the trailer but my dealer did a temp weld job till the new frame came in. Maybe someone nearby can weld it for you so you can use it.

A couple of floor jacks held the weight of the boat up so the crossmember could be arc welded.

  7. Thanks for the update.

I've been eyeing the X5 ever since Raymarine announced that they were adding it to their line. I'm not in any rush for a new AP as long as my old King is working but it's long over due for replacement. The luster of the Simrad's is quickly getting dull because of the tech support some of our LOU members are experiencing.

    Thanks again for the update.

  8. Rollers or bunks,....sorta like ford or chevy.

I've cranked boats on both types of trailers and I prefer rollers. I trailer my boat and at about 30 trips (average 180 miles round trip) a season cranking a boat on a trailer with bunks can make you breath hard. I guess a electric winch could be on your list but launching with rollers does have it's advantage. Just be sure not to unhook your bow hook & safety chain until the boat is down the ramp and ready to launch. Remember the boat will roll off the trailer on most ramp grades. If your not going to trailer the boat much then it probably doesn't matter much what type you get.

As the above posts may suggest the quality of the boat and trailer have to be considered. My boat is a 19' glass hardtop. Weighs in at about 3500 lbs with all equipment and 25 gal of gas (@6lbs gal). Each battery is about 62-65lbs. Gross weigh is 4440 lbs on a certified scale(880 lb for the trailer). I have a Shore Lander tandem axle trailer and it has 16 cushion rollers plus 6 keel rollers. Bought the package new in 2002. Other than when I'm in the water fishing the boat is on the trailer and no problem with the hull yet.

Hope some of this info helps. Regardless of which style trailer you buy you should get your boat weighed. Equipment adds up fast and you would be surprised at just how much stuffffff you have added to the overall weight of your boat.

  9. Z' is a little jealous because his wife made him get rid of his blow-up dolls and because they meant so much to him I held on to them for him.

When he found out that I was using them (not the way he was 10.gif) as boat buddies he was concerned that maybe I'd get a fish hook into them or something.

So Chowder I really don't want to go into much more detail on a public forum. After all, Z' is my buddy and I don't want to embarrass him. If you PM me I may share a few more details with you in private. 17.gif
