well im with the majority on this one. in my eyes the best days of fishing are catching kings off the dipseys and deep riggers, and catching bows off the high riggers and short cores. another vote for the bows

if its a matter of survival........stinger nbk and nk dl28 kevorkian

yum, a goby flavored duck

im going to assume that the majority of us would prefer to spend our time targeting and catching kings.
(and ill apologize to anyone who doesnt).
but my question is........
-
what do you guys think is the single most important thing added to your fishing arsenal for 2008? electronics, technique, equipment, etc
-
fished honeoye w/ scottb today. absolutely no lack of ice there. fishing was extremely slow. 1 flag producing zero fish from tip ups. scottb "fooled" 10 or so perch into biting.
-
i also run my probe on the deepest rigger and usually its in search of 39 degree water. i believe running it on your deepest rigger helps you establish and maintain the "bottom" of your targeted range.

you cant lose with "natural" colored sticks. black/silver,black/gold, black/chrome, brown trout, rainbow trout, perch, etc
couple of spoons- nk dl28 kevorkian and c5 frog

fish junkie
pen reared fish are given a chance to grow bigger alowing them to have a lower mortality rate than direct stocked fish. most importantly the are allowed to smolt. which means they are trick into believing they were born in that tributary and someday they will also return there to spawn. every year stocking locations recieve a "certain amount" of fish for pen rearing and each location is different. given the choice between direct stocking and pen rearing, i would assume that we would all choose to pen rear because its just a superior way to stock. i would say its not a risk "putting all of your fish in the same basket" but instead i would say we are doing the best we can with the fish we have.

4cs, welcome to the site. theres plenty of learning material on this site for you. good luck
-
i typically run four riggers- the two outside riggers higher in the water column (chart, purples, frogs), 1 rigger deeper (usually a mupped rig), and the probe rigger the deepest (mag nbk, echip and fly)
1 10 core centered out back
wire rods- 1 off each side (typically flasher/flies)
obviouslly conditions will dictate but this seems to be a very "comfortable" spread for me.
