Great day Keith. We just couldn't get it going. We only used 3 riggers. I thought that keeping it simple on a windy day like Sunday would help us, not hurt us. Apparently it did.

"knot at the water" is the tenth color of lead connected to the mono backing on the reel. All 10 colors are in the water. Which means that depending on your speed the lure is about 40-50' down. Each color let out is approx. 5 more feet of depth. If you don't have a leadcore rod, I highly recommend them. They will increase the # of fish you catch.

Worked between the nose and pump house in 70-100fow. We were 8-13 w/ four kings over 16# (one was 23#), three browns and a rainbow. Riggers at 60-70', leadcore knot at the water and dipseys 140-200 back. Best lures were the frog fishlander on the lead, spinnies@fly on dipseys and copper crippled alwifes on the riggers.

The fish seemed to spook out of the rigger spread today. We only had 4 hits on the riggers. We'll be out tomarrow, good luck!

Sorry so late. Fished 630-noon and hooked up about 20 or so fish and only boating about half of them. (rob's disease?) Like rob said, everything was working, riggers 30-60'down,wire dipseys 90-140 out and leadcore 8 colors out. White bellied 28's w/ black backs were the best. All kings past 80' Browns, rainbows and a couple big kings that were within 50' of the net were lost in the 40-60fow range. It's good to see everyone got fish wednesday. BTW: Rob, you have three lures on the seat of your boat. Enjoy. Gander had slim pickins of those today.

A glow frog is a specific color of many spoon manufactures. (zipper,hi-tech,fishlander,dreamweaver and others) It's a greenish glow w/ black dots.

I've been doing this tournament for about 18 yrs w/ a few wins and other cashes. My experience tells me that this is the first and ONLY year that I've heard complaining about the 6 fish limit and rightly so. It has turned into a king salmon contest only. If on the first day you find or stumble upon some decent kings then you have it made, because w/ a 6 fish limit, not too many teams are going to have any chance of catching you, even w/ a laker. At the oak we had our 6 silvers by 9:30, then drove 25 miles to our laker spot and took the laker. $100.00 for gas on the day and we still didn't have a shot at catching the leader. :shock: At least w/ a 9 fish limit you can get your 9 fish and if the leader has a tougher day, then you have a shot at him.

Maybe they should make it like the loc derby (biggest fish) , because it seems like that's where it's heading.

Since the am division only gained 3-4 teams this year, they should go back to the way it was. We'll keep fishing the pro-ams but I hear of a bunch of unhappy teams that might not. Which will mean less teams in the future. It doesn't look like the tournament will get more than 35-40 am teams a year anyways. It's just about the same group of guys every year. Which is fine by me.

Saturday- 1 brown in 35fow on lead, 2 10#lakers and a small king on the bottom in 90fow off the can.

Sunday- 6 browns and 1 atlantic around cowsucker in 7-10fow. Chart./orange sticks on the boards and chart./orange slammers 3' down and 40' back.

Hopefully something better will set up for next weekend.

Half the time, you can definatly see the somerst stack fishing out of Sandy. The stack is 35 miles away! :shock:

I'm not posative, but I think it's the power plant in oswego.

You'll like Sandy very much. Their isn't one bad apple that fishes there. Everyone gets along great and helps out when needed. BTW: When you get passed the blowboat marina, stay left going out of the channel into the lake. Last winter the channel gave birth to a baby sand bar. Our impeller found out the hard way. :shock:

Sandy/Braddocks for us

Fished 5:45-11:45 w/ three of us. 65 keepers. Tip-downs w/ fatty.

We always use it. It's a great visual of where you've been and haven't been. We also have the bottom contour feature on our unit and put together, they work great w/ each other.

Yeah Jerry and I saw one guy tackle someone outside of wegmans for their bag of cans. It was getting ugly out there just to get his dammmm fish mounted!!!

It's on the wall, but my dad didn't want to. We convinced him w/ alot of pushing.

Holy crap batman, are you nuts! That is a sacred photo for anyone who goes fishing w/ us. Every time we set it up in the mornings, we always have a comment, huh? The electronics on the dash blush every time it's set up! Anyways, the two people in the picture would kick my asssssssssssss!

5 of us fished from 7am-3pm and took home about 65-75 perch. Biggest was 13". Mostly on minnows and a few on perch eyes. Overall it was pretty slow. We had our spurts, but it was slow most of the time. I do think the season will end up very good there.
