  1. The collar slides on locking the blades in. There are slots in the collar to allow for the collar to break on impact. You can put it on correctly and lock the blades in or wrong which would be up side down. That’s what I meant by one way of doing it. What Pelthunter is explaining is wrong according to the Rage tech in the video. You are not supposed to align the slots with the blades because the O-ring will not hold the blades in place during flight. Are Rage Bow broad heads different? Beats me!

Im not positive if their the same, but i think they may be different because of the speed of the xbow. Im using the xbow version.

  2. Shoot what your confident in Brian. I love my xbow rage broadheads. They fly beautiful out of the xbow. Took a buck yesterday that made the lungs look like mush. Im not in love with the fixed blades out of the xbow, but then again, not a lot of experimenting with them. Maybe you had a 1in a hundred bad luck experience.

  3. I'll bet the perch are hoping you don't get a chance to get at them[emoji38] I don't know Scott I've only had 65 seasons of ice fishing thus far so pretty small sample size to judge from [emoji38]
Trust me, I don't know crap, just ask everyone.

  4. I'll take the cold first and if a lot of snow comes, it would suck, but not fishing the lake shore bays too much anymore, isn't usually too much of a problem for me in terms of ice making. They just don't get the snow down south like up here.

  5. Hope she is right Scott. Cold temps are one part of the equation, but an even more important component is wind (velocity and direction). That is where I'm most concerned because so far this year it has been very windy. Good ice needs prolonged cold temps combined with some nearly still days and nights. As long as the water is significantly moving the ice either resists forming or else keeps breaking up before it get solidly formed and especially where there is some open water present.
That's a short term problem. How many times have you seen it windy as hell one day and overnight it just stops for no reason and everything g locks up. Wind isn't the big issue, it's the temperature patterns.

  6. The only way to keep mice out of anything is to make it so they can't get in. NOTHING inside a boat or camper will work for any length of time. Tried everything in my camper on the land and they just laughed at me. Found a space around a drain underneath and covered it up. No issue. Then this year due to a fallen tree branch they were able to get in the ceiling, so I fixed that, trapped the pricks and now nothing.

  7. I'm going to call wishful thinking on this, but even if it's a pipe dream, I'm there with you.
My info come from what seems to be a very good meteorologist with a very good track record in looking at previous years models along with what's going on in the Pacific Ocean and the Fall weather patterns. She mentioned it could be similar to 2014 due to a shift in pattern, the Arctic ice cover expanding and the expanding snow cover in Canada and Greenland.

From what I'm seeing, I think your going to see above average November/December and then well be in for a very cold below average jan/feb/march

  11. Yeah, it even got competitive between the three of us!

In fact, Jim knocked off one of my fish at the boat that would have easily gone a pound and a half, maybe two . And I'm pretty sure that he babied a four pound smallmouth on that crappy homemade rod of his (who builds on Mudhole blanks, anyway?) so that Brian and I would have less time to fish. I won't even talk about the bullhead that got tangled in the supposedly "tangle-free" net and made me re-rig. And to hear him tell it, every fish I did manage to catch was 8", anyway.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Unless he invites me to fish again .
    I love my rod Keith!

  12. But the complaints have been about lack of new blood, and tributary anglers, and if it is only notice by e-mail, only those already connected get notice.  I saw things here last year but they were short notice, and I was already committed on the days announced.  I am also not really likely to get out to Sandy as I can be in Sodus in less time from where I live, and Sandy is an extremely limited tributary in terms of public access.
The "public" has access and is in there snagging and lifting all the time now through May.
