Tag,
If you are looking at a new Honda kicker, Honda is offering 2.9% financing on all new outboards. Also, being from Media Pa. it would probably be worth driving to Delaware to save another 6% on sales tax.

I have the Tr-1 gold on my 9.9 Honda kicker and love it! It's very reliable. I never used the reverse mode so I can't answer that question. The only thing I recommend if you do get the Tr-1 is take a couple hours and familiarize yourself with it on the water and learn what all the buttons on the remote do. Here's a couple videos on the Tr-1 gold.

I had a skull done by my taxidermist in which beetles were used. The skull came out bright white (almost bleached looking). I think they are called DERMESTID BEETLES. I also had a skull boiled and wasn't as happy with the results as with the beetles. Check with your taxidermist that uses the beetles.

I do have the cameras out still. There is supposed to be a bigger buck than the any of those.
I am leaving for Iowa on Friday to hunt 7 1/2 days on a friends farm. I have had a trail camera out on the Iowa farm since the beginning of October. If I have any good pictures from that camera, I'll post them when I get back.

I picked up the 15 lb torpedos and used them this weekend for the first time. I was able to see them on my fishfinder all the way down to 110 feet. That was the deepest I fished them this weekend. My 13 lb torpedos would blow too far back to see on my fishfinder at that depth.

If you were fishing out of Fair Haven that was Doug and Cody. I'm not sure they are on LOU but I'll make sure they get the message.

If it's true, they should not only be banned from all future tournaments but they should be stripped of any previous tournament wins!!!!!!! Oh and let's not forget the observer on their boat should also be banned from participating in tournaments for not reporting the cheating.

I spliced a 10 ft piece of 30lb mono between the copper and the braid for the release and it has worked great. I had the same problem with the braid coming out of the release.

12.13lbs. NICE!!!

I keep unscented biodegradeable soap on the boat for hand washing.

What size shaft do you have on your kicker motor?

I was in the same position you are currently in. I have a 2002 F-250 w/ a 7.3 diesel and 125,000 miles on it and found a 1995 Honda civic 5 speed w/ 29,000 miles on it. The Honda ain't pretty but she gets 38 MPG. Like holy mackerel said, I go places where and when I want because I'm not spending a fortune on gas. Also, normal wear & tear items such as brakes and tires cost a lot less than on my truck.
