  1. Well Billy, I went and bought a Cottage in Sodus Bay. This way I can live there all summer long and have a place to slip the boat. My other home is paid for and I needed a tax deduction, so it works for me. Walk 20 feet to the dock and off I go fishing. Hopefully the water levels will be better this fall as I had to pull the boat last year at the end of August. But I will always go out fishing and am always looking for new people to go fishing with that can help with gas costs. I drive a Chevy Silverado and am looking to buy a car that gets better gas mileage. I average about 25,000 miles a year for work with it. Now I can use a car for work, so that will save me some change for gas in the boat. Gregg
  2. Screamer, Glad the soft reset worked for you, they have quitre abit of info on the internet for trouble shooting units. Thats were I got that info for you. Again glad it worked and I hope you tear the fish up this season. Gregg
  3. One more thing, have you tried a soft reset of the unit to see if this corrects your issue? There is also a hard reset but you would lose all of your GPS waypoints and trail info. From Lowrance site LMS-339C DF iGPS Frequently Asked Questions What can I do if pressing the PAGES button brings up no pages or pages are missing? Performing a soft reset of the unit should take care of that. 1. Start with the turned off. 2. Press and hold the PAGES key. 3. Press and hold the PWR key. 4. Release both buttons when the USA map appears. *****There is also a hard reset but you would lose all of your GPS waypoints and trail info.******** Performing a Hard reset of the unit should take care of that. 1. Start with the turned off. 2. Press and hold the ZIN and ZOUT keys at the same time. 3. Press and hold the PWR key. 4. Release both buttons when the USA map appears. Your unit does have 2 power connections 1 for NMEA-2000 and 1 for the fish finder. Unit won't turn on 1. Check the power cable's connection at the unit. Also check the wiring. 2. Make sure the power cable is wired properly. The red wire connects to the positive battery terminal, black to negative or ground. 3. Check the fuse. 4. Measure the battery voltage at the unit's power connector. It should be at least 10 volts. If it isn't, the wiring to the unit is defective, the battery terminals or wiring on the terminals are corroded, or the battery needs charging.
  4. I have the LCX 26c HD, I have 2 seperate power connections on my unit. 1 is for the GPS and the other is for the fishfinder. I would check your unit to see if you have 2 seperate power inputs on your unit. If you do check in-line fuses and terminations. Maybe the fish finder side isn't getting power or you have a bad connection causing low voltage. Just a few ideas hope it helps.
  5. Just a FYI for all boaters. This article came from RNEWS on TimeWarner. For more info on the proposal follow link to their web site: http://www.ijc.org/en/activities/losl/index.php Let me know what you think of this proposal, looks like boaters on Lake Ontario will be the only one's that might get the shaft. The International Joint Commission issued a new plan to regulate water levels in Lake Ontario and the flows of the Saint Lawrence River. But now, the commission is proposing a new order of approval called Plan 2007. It has three options. A+ would help with power, but was not good for the environment. B+ is environmentally friendly, but has shoreline problems. D+ is a balance of the two. "So, we're presenting two things, 2007 which is a modification of D+, plus the option to go to B+, the environmental plan if the governments put in place the mitigation measures that satisfy the various criteria that we have to work with," said Jack Blaney, IJC Canada commissioner. "The plan we feel is a good plan. It's what we can do right now for recreational boaters and the environment without losing the benefits that people enjoy, the other interest enjoyed right now," said Irene Brooks, IJC U.S. commissioner. The plan will now undergo a 90-day public comment period.

  8. When bought New Searay in 2005 I bought 4 of these down riggers. I only use 2 since I'm running wire and copper rigs now. I will sell these 2 down riggers for 500.00 or best offer. If bought New with shipping and handling over 900.00
  9. Bought this motor in Jan 2005 and ended up buying new 22 ft Searay in Feb which was unexpected. I have only used this motor 3 times as it won't work on my Searay. Cost new 2447.00 This motor has the troll master pro II installed on it and will come with the motor. This controlls you speed remotely to the kicker so you don't have to manually adjust your speed. Cost new 270.00 You will not be disappointed with this motor as it sips gas. Asking 1950.00 for both Call me on my Cell if interested 585 943-6795 Gregg
  10. Anyone heard anything that could explain water drop in Sodus bay in the last 2 days. I'm sure it is affecting all bays but that seems like a huge drop in just 2 days. If it continues at this rate I will have to pull my boat as I don't have the depth at dock for my Sea Ray. If you have seen any info please pass it on. Thanks, Gregg
  11. Mark, Glad I could help, see you on the water. Gregg

  13. I just bought 2 new wireline outfits, the reels are Tekota 600LC and bought TDR rods with twilli tips. Eventually I need to buy some setups for lead core setup but just getting wire setups down. Also I just bought a Air gun setup for making up some custom lures. I bought some glow paint from Glow.Inc to put on some spoon blanks. Just gives me something to do as I'm going crazy this winter. The wife says the next time I bring up fishing she is going to have me commited. LOL Gregg
  14. I would love to see a recipe forum here, so count me in. Gregg
  15. I have a Cannon SNT and a Depth Raider, out of the 2 I like the Depth Raider the best. It gives me better reading than the Cannon. Also there is less blow back with the Depth Raider. I use the Cannon on my small 16 foot Starcraft and Depth Raider on my 22 foot Sea Ray. The small screen of the Depth Raider is nice as I don't have alot of room for mounting. The numbers are very big for such a small monitor. My Cannon seems to work well and haven't had the issue that others on this board have seen. I can't speak to the other models out there but when my Cannon goes bad I will replace with another Depth Raider. Also the people at Depth Raider have been great to deal with, I needed a bigger spring coil for the pickup on my scotty downriggers. I called into Depth Raider and he said he would ship me one out at no charge. I got it about 3 days later. Let us know how you make out, and what you ended up getting. Gregg
  16. USMC 1983-1994 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit was my last unit while in.
