530am till 10am..3- 22 fow.casted #5 spinners all mornin.caught 2 8lb cats and 1 30in pike..tried jiggin and blade baits out in the deeper water with no luck.....and so long 4 now;john

most boats where 100yds away.i had 1 fellow in a bass boat with a yelpin dog who came close but thats it

530 -1015am.18fow,jigs.. dixie.. and sonar did the catchin today..limit of eyes.... 3 toss backs... lost 2 at the boat..3 sunnies and a perch along with a silver bass,,had a shoal to my self and kept pounding it..black and purple jig and a perch sonar took the keeper eyes while the dixie got me the shorts and the pan fish..great day on the water by myself..and so long 4 now;john

545am till 11am,32-42fow,flyin solo today...2 keeper walleyes 3 toss backs and 3 sheep..jigs and dixie with my trollin motor in the water for propulsion..couldnt find any active fish..all marks where dead on the bottom...got a fly by from a basshole at 60mph with all of lakeport bay to go around me..does he... no..within castin distance he flies by...that is 1 good reason i stopped fishin cayuga for perch..now these morons have done a full scale assult on oneida..wtf.....and so long 4 now;john

5am till 10am,2 guys,18-42 fow..jigs and dixie,,,i caught 5 keepers and a throw back my partner got 1 eye.i also landed 2 sheeps and a smb..there was almost no bite,,the eyes where nothin but weight and FISH ON,,didnt have 1 strike that resulted in a eye..more fish came to the dixie than a jig,,which was very odd cause there was no drift...more fish caught in 30+ than shallow.,,,,and so long 4 now;john

i dont mind sharing info.infact i like it..even on the water i had a fisherman ask what do you gotta do to catch an eye?he has been out 6 times since openin day for zero eyes..and he drove up from the southern tier!!what rocks my boat is when you get close enough for me to put a jig through your windshield..and im suppose to change my routine for a fool who came ontop of me...if your askin ????and approach that close ok..but to get as close as you feel and and fish right on top..wtf!!!ill come off my soap box now...and so long 4 now;john

fished with my dad..530am till 10...10-28fow...jigs and a dixie;;.2 smb.1 sunnie 1 6lb catfish and a rockie..the eyes out did me this weekend..the traffic was less BUT i put a net in the water for the cat and was greeted by 3 other boats within 2 minutes..kinda crazy!!met a felloe LOU member and his father,,he reconigied my tag name...how cool is that!!!!...and so long 4 now.john

ryan i had 62 in the morning when the wind pickes up it dropped alittle...by some reports im reading the eyes are being crushed at this moment....and so long 4 now;john

2-3 colorado with all things being equal green color blade with red or green beads .2 hooks and a light line...and so long 4 now;john

545 till 1030am,4 eyes 1 perch 1 rocky some on jigs other on dixie.the traffic was just crazy!! i had boats park within castin distance twicewtf..all fish between 15-18fow...and so long 4 now;john

south shore boat launch in bridgeport.go to mid lake shoals..find the fow and youll find eyes.jigs or worm harness...and so long 4 now;john

havent been out...the state ditch always had a few eyes..and so long 4 now.john

canal.is good fishing in the spring..try minnows right along the pier or snap jig blade bait along the wall 4 eyes....panfish will still be there too...and so long 4 now;john

530-1200.2 guys/5 eyes 1 sheep head 1 catfish,1 pikeral .1 smb.all in 8-14fow inand around lakeport.jigs and dixie with a worm where the ticket today,,and so long 4 now;john

fished from 9-12pm.in the river and along breakwall...never got a strike.3 poles in the water with different depths and lures and could put 1 in the boat..a few other boats out and never saw a net in the water...and so long 4 now;john

going to hit the river for a few hrs weds nite any one want to troll in another boat..my boat will be full.just thought if 2 boats where workin together to find the right color -speed we could share info..will post on how i do...and so long 4 now;john

2 eyes 20 fow on jigs..on Shackleton shoal..what a brutal weekend

fished from 530am till 11am,,3-24fow..jigs and blade baits..nadda zero ofer..couldnt but a fish..may be my 1st skunk in 40+ yrs of opening day trips??had my father with me so the fishing wasnt very aggressive but still i was confident...saw only 1 net in the watter all morn..stayed in and around lakeport...and wow mas the south shore boat launch a zoo at 5am!!and so long 4 now;john
