  1. How do you feel about the nusence

permits?I don't think shooting deer and leaving them there to rot is the right thing to do. I think the farmers should let the hunters do that during the season then the meat would get used .The so called hunters that kill them during the summer are the one's that will be screaming the loudest when they can't find deer in the fall. Sorry, didn't mean to open a can of worms.

  2. Hey guys,I noticed the same things this season. I Hunt down at Hector in the Federal Forest. This year my two honey holes were all most void of deer, hunted Sunday to Friday without seeing a deer. Maybe my right guard let me down. By the way it was bow season. The first evening I left my stand at dusk and a pack of coyotes cut loose and raised hell in there. I'm not going to blame the slow hunting on the yots I hunted the Truxton area for years and they didn't hurt my hunting and they have a lot of them. The mass crops were down where I hunted, they also pound the hell out of the area from the first day of gun to the end of black powder. Throw in a bad winter or two and there goes the hunting for a while. Maybe. Hey, we might be getting to good at what were doing. We had a lot of hi wind warm weather this season and I don't think that helps anything. Well I did get a heavy six pt. the first day of gun so theres no tears in my eyes. Good luck to all of you the rest of the season, Hunt safe. Mike.

  3. ScottB, Last time out About two weeks ago I made the rounds on the bay and didn't do anything.Fished the buoys a little while, got about eight keepers on jigs and fatheads in 6-8fow. Glad you did well Sat. I'm going to give it a try during the week but then I've got to get some meat in the freezer with the bow. I hope the perch are not on a decline,we've had over 10 years off good perch fishing. Good luck and good fishing.

  4. I started fishing the bay late Aug.-Sept., the fishing was very good for about three weeks then it slowed up. the only place we could get perch was around the buoys. They weren't in the rest of the bay. The old honey holes were dead. I thing the main school is still in the lake.(eating gobes).

  5. Normally you don't have to replace the hubs unless you burn up the bearings and tear up the races. If you went three years and have not replaced the bearings jack the trailer up and spin the wheel and listen for noise like grinding and check for slop in the wheel. If you get noise pull the wheels and replace the bearing. Check the bearing races for ware,if there smooth they should be all right. Pack the bearing with grease before you put them back together. If your not a do it yourselfer take it to a dealer and have it done. As long as you grease before a trip you shouldn't have a problem. Its good to have a spare hub if you burn the bearings on the road. I think new bearing come with the hub, if they don't get them to. Good luck on the lake.

  6. I had one on my boat, Liked what it did thats way I bought it. they don't make it any more the probes leaked and if you put them into very cold water condensation formed inside the probe and killed it. I wouldn't spent any money buying used parts you mite find out there,it would be a waist of good cash. You mite be able to put standard down rigger cable on it and use it for a down rigger if the computer works. I thank the 110v may have killed it to. Thats why it was buryed in the garage.

  7. If you slow the idle down you can use 40wt. oil to keep the oil pressure up. If you hear rattling noises (the bearings) up the idle and use a plate or pull a bag Or try the different prop like B.V. or Jimski said.

  8. Happy birthday Sonny. You don't feel Any older when they call you an old fart or old timer but wait till you walk into the tackle shop and some old fart calls you young man, then you know your there. Happt birth Ray. ....MIke.
