If you get Lakers....burp them, then tow them around....once the fish is upright and swimming I torpedo them head first.
I'm not saying they all live, but this gives them a fighting chance

I havent had the boat there in 20 years.... We brought her back this year and I was a bit jealous of you guys. Great Marina Manager, Great docks, and Like Vince said the community sees the value in its fishery. I'm glad I came down this spring.

Capt Mike.... those purple Rats look great.....
A few weeks ago YankeeTroller, Legacy , and I had the opportunity to tour the BayRat factory. First thing I noticed was the factory was very clean and organized. Damian ( the owner) and his crew explained how each lure is made, and how each lure is painted. Bayrats are 100% American made ( even the hooks). I was impressed at the attention to detail, the warranty on all baits, and the honest commitment to anglers. Not only do they make great baits, but they are hard core anglers....
Last Spring, Rats sore lipped dozens of BTs. I picked up some bigger Rats this year to try on some bigger toothy critters....

Nope....
If my high diver goes, I just bring the fish in...set it back out....
If my low diver goes, I usually bring in my high diver then re deploy the same way.... Low then high..... Just the way I like to do it To avoid tangles

On my port and starboard sides I have quad rod holders.... If I'm running double divers I utilize a 9ft rod for my deep diver, and a 10 1/2 ft rod for my shallow diver.
The deep diver ( 9fter ) goes out first.... I set the diver on a 1.5 setting and let it out slowly...once it gets out to a specific length ( look at your diver depth chart to get an approx estimate on depths per ft of line) put the rod in the closest holder to the stern on my quad holder set. I angle the rod holder so the rod tip is almost in the water.
The shallow diver is used with a 10.5 ft rod. I set the diver at 3 and I then set it out...very slowly.. The 3 setting should take the rig outside the boat pretty well. Once you have it where you want, I put the rod in the rod holder closest to the bow on my quad set up. I angle the rod holder so that the shallow diver rod is above the deep rod.
Its important to know that a wicked current will screw you up as will making sharp turns.
If you run them use caution running paddles/ spin docs ....the days I run double dives, I like to run spoons. I know guys like to run paddles and spoon set ups together and do well.... I seldom run double divers. I've had some crazy tangles, so I run more coppers or cores....

I run two cow bell spin glow rigs, and two divers with dodger flies for Kings.... At the slow speeds, those license plates work mint.

I've had those idiotic birds fly right into my Scoter Spread while I was waterfowl hunting 5 miles off Sandy.... Its too bad those birds are protected, because they are the dumbest birds ever...

When you pull lakers off the floor in deep water, then tend to get the "bends" ( swim bladder fills with air). What I do is lay the fish on its side and push on the fish's stomach ....while i'm pushing on the stomach I'm moving my hand from the vent to the fish's gill. Pushing the air out.... the fish will burp really loud.... doesnt hurt the fish. If you just throw them back without burping, they will float and end up dieing. Burping them and then towing gives them a great chance of survival
