    Back story for the big fish award....
    Back in the mid 90s, I met a lot of hard core charter captains. Back then, there was no LOU, chat rooms,and very few seminars. Short of waterboarding, getting tips or info from Captains was all but impossible. Luckily for me, I was able to enter the "circle of trust". One Captain in particular went out of his way to help me out. Captain John McCabe. John ran a Blue and White Baha named Desperado. Sadly, John passed away at a relatively young age of cancer. As a tribute to a Rochester Captain, good guy, and hard core tournament competitor....The John McCabe Big Salmon Award.
