  1. Tom....Went to the ponds and trolled to Braddocks. In very tight. Friday was an respectable bite, but today was tough. Few cookie cutter Brownies. One thing I would like to comment on is the size of the Smallies we caught....They were monsters. Friday we had 4 planers go at the same time....all 19 inch smallies. Man they must have been 5 lbs each. They are definitely chowin down on the gobies......Tight lines......

  2. All three boats you have mentioned are solid rigs. I love how deep the Thompsons are. Really nice platforms. What more can be said about Penn Yans. Ive fished out of both of these boats and you can't go wrong.

As far as Baha's....That's my rig now. In fact its my second one. In 1993 we purchased one brand new and fished one season. While in winter storage some A$$hole set the warehouse on fire(Ruled an arson) and we lost the boat. We managed to get it together and purchased another Baha. Same identical rig that burned. Haven't had any hull issues, no stringer or transom problems. The one thing I will tell you is I'm totally obsessed with keeping the bilge clean and motors running tip top.

My advise would be to have a dry dock survey done by e reputable guy. A sea trial is also a must. Like I said before, all three vessels are strong lake boats. Good luck and just remember what B.O.A.T stands for......"Break Out Another Thousand." ...Tight lines

  3. Cohos are notorious for hitting at faster speeds. Saturday we pounded them pretty Good. Faster speeds.....2.7-3.0 were the best. Heavier spoons Like nk's and dreamweavers can handle it.

  5. The DA's office is probably going to present the case to the Grand Jury. When the Grand Jury hears the evidence, they rule on weather there is enough evidence to support the crime that is initially going to be charged. After the Grand Jury "Rises"(Makes a decision) an indictment warrant is filed and the suspects are picked up by local authorities. Bail can be set when the suspects are properly arraigned. I believe that there is quite a time frame between when a Grand jury hears a case and when they "Rise". I'm not 100% sure, but it may be 45 days.

It is my understanding that prosecutors utilize this system in order to have the correct charges for certain acts. Usually felony cases. I think this is to prevent over and under charging crimes. Plea bargains are hard to come by after an defendant is indicted.

This case may not even be in the courts yet, it still may be under investigation. With a case of this magnitude I can imagine that the Investigators are,as previously mentioned, Dotting the eyes and crossing the Ts.

The main focus should be on the victim, his recovery , and his speedy return to the streams.

I am no expert on court proceedings, just throwing out a "This could possibly be happening".......Tight lines

  6. I will run all kinds of lures off My boards. If i find a nice pronounced temp break on the surface, out comes My 3 And 5 color cores. Later in The season i run copper And full cores. If Im only running one Long rig on each side, i'll break out the inline boards rather than fool around with big boards. Either technique can be deadly.

  8. Last year I fried a valve on my port engine Both my engines have been babied since the boat has been new (I'm the original owner). My mechanic said more than likely it was the crap gas we all have to deal with. He said his business has been booming with all the engine repairs from this fuel.

2k for new rings, springs , valve job and good going over. You can bet that I'll being putting the ethanol treatment in my tanks every fill up. That stuff is expensive but its worth it in the long run. Good luck this season and tight lines.

  9. I use storm swim shads in The upper. I have had good luck with walleye and sucker patterns. I use The 9inchers. Jiggin. Havent fished the upper in few years. Figured with the vhs issue, i would give them a break.

  11. I'm no expert at stream fishng. This past weekend I was fishing a trib and we did extremely well floating. Ive never done it before and I have to admit it was fun. I was surrounded by guys who were fly fishing. They had thier share of action. I did happen to notice that they ,as a group, snagged more than were legally taken. When one of them hooked a fish in the mouth they announced it so everyone would know . I kinda laughed to myself and kept on getting bites. Probably had 30 bites and only two were fouled. I immediately broke the foul hooked fish off. The other guys hauled them in by tails and fins. I am not steriotyping flyfishermen, heck the casting alone is an art, just reporting what I witnessed.

  12. Sweet man Great pics and awesome play by play....I absolutely love sea duck hunting. Been to Maryland with Pitboss (Jeff Coates) and I'm tentatively going to Rhode Island Next January for "Eidahs" and Scoters. Call me crazy but I'll hunt divers and Sea ducks over popcorn ducks and sky carp any day.
