  1. Turkey 2020 in the books for me, hunted 20 days an burned a ton of miles on the truck, plus lots of hunts till noon and roosting missions to rack up the hours, made for a fun season. Highlight of the season was watching my son take his first bird an getting to spend most of my hunts with him, an getting my nephews out for experience.
Day 18 proved to be my day, wish I CLD say it was an epic gobble fest, but he cam in quite as a late season bird. Love the TSS loads as it dropped him dead at 45 yrds. Looking forward to NXT season already, an hope everyone enjoyed thier season as well. Enjoy some pics from the season.IMG_20200425_065850.jpegIMG_20200425_083741.jpegIMG_20200521_204512.jpegIMG_20200519_062209_01.jpegIMG_20200529_074620.jpegIMG_20200518_063611.jpegIMG_20200530_100010.jpegIMG_20200528_055551.jpegIMG_20200528_191119.jpegIMG_20200528_190954.jpegIMG_20200528_184523.jpegIMG_20200528_183417.jpegIMG_20200528_183715.jpeg

Well, its been a grind so far... we have had birds close but the kids have been busted twice due to the wiggles!! But they've been learning and seeing a lot of cool stuff.. They keep asking to go and I'm going to take them every time they ask, regardless of being successful. This morning was a special hunt, I sat with my 6 year old son about 80 yards away form my wife and 10 year old daughter. Well, the girls won!! My son and i had a hen within 3 yards of us when my wife turned it loose on a 3 year old.. Off my son runs to get on moms bird!! Hahaha. we've been blessed to have some awesome hunts together but never all together.

  3. My sons 1st Turkey
So I'm not much of a turkey Hunter but my son has taken a strong interest for it, so we have both been learning, scouting an practicing for this years season.
Opening am we set up on a roosted bird, that we were able to put to bed the night before, however he did not want to play in the am, so off to spot #2, we worked the area for a while an nothing, then moved a bit an got a response,
We were able to set up the dekes an he started to come in, one decoy fell over so I scramble back out set it back up an pray we didn't spoke him. He keeps gobbling an finally comes out, skirts past us, to circle arnd us an made the mistake of stopping at our decoy after he came arnd us an my boy dumped him at 20 paces. We got him at 10:30am
We're both hooked now an I'm very proud that he stuck it out an we worked together to get em. IMG_2491_01.jpegIMG_2486.jpeg

  4. Tell that little guy welcome to the brotherhood!!!

    Priceless smiles an memories.
Whaler tell ur boy thanks for doing that, as we need more guys out thier getting our young stock hunting an fishing.
    Love it.!
When I get a chance will update u guys on our successful am hunt too.

Tommy took a friend and his son out this morning. Called a big Tom in to 25 yards but unfortunately the shot was off. No worries, reset and moved and late morning was rewarded with a second opportunity and this time the shot was true. Very happy father and son!IMG_1211.thumb.JPG.36a611e5961e3e4eb3cc5141d7163be7.JPG

  5. For what it’s worth I just had a pair of the rod holders serviced 1st part of the year, pre COVID-19  quarantine. They were 4 years old an he warranted them. However it took forever to get them back an he said turn around time wld be one week. Also sent emails asking what was going on to no replies till he shipped them.  When I did get the 1st box it was full of someone else’s rod holders to which I had to put a label on an leave for ups to come an get.  I did finally get my rod holders back, however their were a lot more details to the story an effort put forth on my part.
I like the products and their looks just very skeptical on any type of service they have to offer.
    Best of luck

  6. A recommendation for your SS hardware. Instead of running all over creation looking for the right screws and bolts, order it from McMaster Carr online. They have everything imaginable and ship quickly. If using the boat mainly in fresh water , 304 Stainless is good and a bit less expensive. If using in salt water a lot use type 316, much more corrosion resistant but about 25% more$.
