  1. Weather was looking good so we tried for a new year troll. Pulled out of bear creek at o dark 30. Wind was a steady east with some nice rollers mixed in later, that also kept the water cooler and we could only find a high of 37 degrees, range was 34-37. Started out with a mix of long sticks and short sticks, ended the day with all shorts as thats what they really wanted. Numbers were good and we saw a few more stud toads than norm. All were sent back to fight another day.

Goof luck to everyones new season[emoji1]

  2. Pulled the group out for what will probably be my last troll for the 2016 season. Mother nature gave us a small window this am between the systems and we got on the browns pretty good. Launched out of bear creek and fished the 8 to 20 fow, surface temp was 36 to 38. Flat Lines out were 150 back and 75 back on the riggers. No reel mvp on plugs they took a varity of colors, greens, pinks, n white. Highlight for the day was our first fish hit before we cld hook it up to the planner release. All fish were released except for one dinner fish. Enjoy everyone and hopefully more reports for the new season coming

  3. Took a friend out who does not fish the big pond. Had hopes of hooking up with decent king but only scrounged up a few lakers. He was happy and wants to go back at em again. Fished from 70-190. Threw a mix of spoons n F/F combos. Best screen for me was 110 fow. post-139866-1464137741359_thumb.jpg

Side note also camped at the Hamlin park this past weekend and had a blast with the kids n little bit of fishing. A very nice park n plenty to do with the family.

  4. Thank you gentlemen for all the comments.

Went out yesterday and what a difference one week makes, the shoreline was full of boats and saw plenty of nets dipping in the water:)

Ran the same program as above and had a great time with the brownies. Best part was I finally got my kids out for an afternoon troll. I would say our season has started and hopefully everyone can take advantage of it soon.

  5. With the recent flurry in fish reports and our weather pattern I wld say our fishing season has started. I too have fond memories of 2012. Can't wait to see when the first king is caught trolling.

    Tight lines.
