  1. The good that law enforcement does for the public day to day is often not fully appreciated until the crap hits the fan, and throughout our great country  the vast majority of officers are professional, courteous, and helpful and just trying to protect the public, property, and enforce existing laws and get home safely to their families and loved ones. The common stresses encountered by them on a daily basis are often poorly understood by the general public. Can you imagine how the large majority of officers feel about this current situation and attitudes of some of the public brought about by one "bad apple" that probably never should have been in law enforcement to begin with? The real shame is that the actions of one bad apple and a couple of non-intervening accomplices have been generalized to the entire law enforcement field and it supplied criminal wannabes and anarchists with the momentum to break laws and carry out their own twisted agendas. The animosity toward law enforcement is totally unfair and irrational. One of the upshots of this current chaos is that when things die down maybe a new appreciation will be gained by the law abiding public for the safety provided by law enforcement on a daily basis.

  2. I have 2,65" shafts that are 1.25" in diameter with 2, 5" couplers for sale. I had to buy 2 new ones 3" longer for my new tranny's. They are used but both couplers and shafts in great shape. My new shafts cost me just under 600$ each without couplers. I will sell both shafts and couplers for 600$. If interested call 585-750-3164 i can send pics if needed.

  3. It really depends on what type of fishing that you're doing, I have had both PanOptix & PanOptix LiveScope on my Skeeters and have used it on the ice as well. The real-time scanning is awesome and the imagery on the LiveScope can be mind blowing at time. It is a great tool to locate fish and see what kind of mood that they are in. Lots of positives as for negatives, I think that you have to justify in your mind if it's worth the money for you because they're not cheap. The other problem that I can see is when people become too fixated on watching it much like some people do with an underwater camera and not fishing enough! LOL

Yep I heard people stare at it and the live is awesome

  4. Fished out of IBay 5/27.  The bite remains difficult. Boated a 6lb rainbow and 15 lb king and considered ourselves fortunate. Only two bites all am. Fished from 6 am to 11:30.  Started in 60 feet straight out of the bay and trolled east  to Webster park between 60-80.  Moved north and searched. Covered a lot of water between the bay and Webster park at varying depths. Circled back in areas where we had bites to no avail. Threw every color imaginable at them with spoons but couldn’t get anything to fire. Grabbed the rainbow on a green chinook diver (#4) with a green nuclear spin doctor with a green crinkle fly in 210 feet of water out 150.  Picked up king on green echip with green fly in 170 feet of water out 130.  Chinook diver (#4) again, this time with silver tape. Did not mark much of anything all morning. A few lakers on the bottom but that was it. Probe wasn’t working so can’t give you down temps, but surface temps ran between 52-56.  That seemed warm compared to the ice water of last week, but even so we still couldn’t get anything going. All in all a beautiful morning and we caught a couple of fish so not bad. Not what we were used to given the strong spring it’s been thus far until a week ago, but I’m sure they will come back.

Many thanks to the usual contributors (charter captains to weekend warriors) to this forum. I catch many more fish than I deserve because of everyone’s willingness to share on this forum, and it’s time I start posting about my outings to assist as well.

    Be well.

I have been out to the 24 N. line in front of the river east or west for the last two days. I would get 3 to 8 bites would only to be in quality fish each trip. Things are scattered big-time we need a north wind.

  5. I can't believe i did not mention that AWESOME perfect timing of the that blackhawk. We were a 100 yds off the shore line and this chopper was between us and the shore like 70ft off the water!!! Totally perfect timing, we could not have planned that any better. I still think somebody pulled some strings????? I have never seen any of these fighter choppers this close to the water in all my years. I am glad somebody got a pic. Yes Vinny you are correct, he is up there looking down what the f..k did they do now.

  6. Same here too off sandy! This guy tryed flying out of the water 3 times trying to get high enough to get up on the boat and failed. So I turned the boat around and netted him then stick him in a tackle box till we hit the dock and off he went into a tree! IMG_20200524_080918044.thumb.jpeg.209b1bf64807cf9c58008c3607272f1c.jpeg

I had this about a week ago in 300 feet of water off. Had to be 40 barn swallows around my whole bow rail. RochesterIMG_1413.JPG

  8. We are having a boat procession for Joe Toomey tomorrow at 4:15 PM from in front of the port of Rochester to Rosie's Marsh just west of Braddock's bay. Joe was a great captain and friend to many on the big pond, surely to be missed by many. Seeing how their are no funerals this is the BEST thing he would love. The Sheriff's will be escorting us out. Everyone who like to attend is welcome. We ask those to take their own boat and not jump onto another boat. The more boats the better for Joe. It would be awesome to have 20 plus boats in a line heading out of the river and going west. I apologize for the late notice, this all came about recently. Hope to see you there, thanks.
