  1. On my way into work there were tracks all over the roads ad they hadn't plowed yet. So they were moving last night evidently.

I just got done plowing since 130 this morning and there was deer everywhere. The last one I saw was around 4 AM so I’m with Dan they’re hunkered down and going to move this afternoon.

  2. I totally disagree with lowering the steelhead limit. This lake has been holding its own for the steelhead since i started back in the seventies. It didn't matter if we were fishing in the stream or lake. Matter of fact with all of this managing the fishery the quality and quantity has gone down in the streams for my perspective and it is NOT from the boat anglers. I can tell stories about the good old days when you could keep 5, and still had awesome stream fishing as well as the lake. Leave the limit for steelhead alone. This would be just one more step to open other doors, god only knows what that might be. Apparently someone already has his mind set as to what is going to happen accepting limited responses

  3. Guys some of you know I got hurt at work pretty bad. I have been out of work for a year, with multiple injuries. I ended up with multiple concussions a torn disc in my back and a bone spur in my neck. Due to these injuries I haven't hunted since 2017 , i now have bifocals and hearing aids due to insane ringing in my ears, very unbalanced, lost my sense of smell and taste absolutely gone, I can't smell all those cool things in like smell of cut grass and fresh cup of coffee. I really want to be able to hunt and fish again, so my question to you guys is anybody here with a back injury that got better enough to bow hunt, I know I will not be climbing into tree stands anymore. That's life... Just looking for some hope to get back into a hunting blind again or fishing again. Thanks Dale

Forget the bow go cross bow. That should work.

  4. With all of the cackling going on ( which is all good ) the salmon that are mature and seeking the genny should be showing their faces by now, regardless! I fished in front door today and got 2 bites, one sheepie and one 14 lb female salmon. Totally disappointed , two days of hard ne and e winds, plenty of 57 to 60 degree water, awesome color. Trolled to turning point and back, saw maybe 2 fish on the screen. I'm going for browns tomorrow then moving the next 6 trips to spring, sad. Can't wait to hear to as why, and it is lake wide not just us.

  5. Wow, i had a feeling this would get interesting. I can say i have been fishing this lake since 1977 and regardless of temps, up wellings, hatchery changes, pens, no pens all of the thoughts everybody shared it is dismal fishing this september into october at best. Unfortunately people still think this is the time to get salmon. I believe this will never change until they are educated, which i am ok with if we have returning fish to play with. I had a very unusual experience this past new years day with salmon spawning. I was walking irondequoit creek as i do several times a week and i could not believe when i saw a fresh pair of green salmon on a nest NEW YEARS DAY Really!!! I went farther up a trip and there was another pair not quite as fresh. I have NEVER seen this.  Are they naturals? We will never know. December run i certainly hope not. Nice write Vince, i am with you. That would take me days to write lol.
