  2. Got one 18 pounder this morning by red barn. Got another small one. Dead since then down by Wilson now.
  3. Can you post a pic of what a clip fin looks like? I come from out of state and usually fish Wilson but didn't know they do studies like this. I will start saving my heads and drop them off in Olcott to help out.
  4. Hi just looking for some info. We usually come up to Wilson or Olcott in August. Doesn't look like we can make it this August but can around the weekend of September 12. Are there still Salmon out on the lake in that area or are they starting to run the rivers? I don't really need specifics just wondering what time of year they start to run. Thanks
  5. I have a used 840 and probe for sale. The 840 comes with bracket and power cord. The display works fine. The probe does light up with a battery and there has never been water inside but I never did get a good reading with it. I upgraded to an x4. No transducer. $100
  6. Ok sounds good. Not sure I can troll that close to shore I would be scared to hit the bottom! Thanks for the info! Heading up there this weekend so hope we can find something to bite.
  7. What do u guys normally use for Browns? Would just small reef runner type sticks work? I assume in 6-10 fow you are just flat lining or using planer boards? Thanks
  8. Can anyone make a bracket for me? I will pay for it. I'm having a hard time finding someone with a brake to bend it. Thanks
  9. Ok I see what you are talking about now. Great Idea! Thanks
  10. Yeah I was wondering that myself. How did you guys do this? Let me see some pics? Thanks
  11. Yeah it was a great boat for me. I hope I made the right decision! Sent from my XT907 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. I bought a bigger boat...no soft spots but the boat is sold now. Sent from my XT907 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. It's 20'5" wide open throttle is 40 mph, cruises about 27-28 depending on waves.
  14. Thanks! New price is $6500 ! Sent from my XT907 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. I have a 1991 Trophy with a 2008 Mercury 150hp Optimax for sale. The boat comes equipped with vhf radio, Lowrance 525c, stereo, Raymarine S 1000 autopilot, Mercury Smartcraft gauges, 4 sets of tite lok rod holders, anchor and line. The boat has a raw water wash down pump as well as a live well. Comes with trailer with led lights, spare tire, new winch and electric brakes. The boat is turn key and ready for fishing. The only thing is could use is some new cushions on the helm seats. The cabin cushions are in great shape. Also has a bimini top. I bought the boat in 2010 and completely redid all the wiring and controls. The cables and hydraulic steering are all new in 2010. Also has trim tabs. Very reliable boat and very fuel efficient. I live in Cleveland Ohio and do trailer it up to Lake O every year so the trailer is road ready. Any questions please ask! $9000 obo. Thanks
  16. We fished Friday, Saturday, in front of red barn to Wilson we did 10 kings Friday and Saturday biggest was 19. We also caught 6 lakers biggest 14. All in 80-120 fow. Yesterday went to the bar and got three kings biggest was 18. For all the fish we caught we probably lost just as many. There are tons of people out there fishing which is nice to see but it's tight trolling. Good luck.
  17. I have a used fish hawk 840 and one probe for sale. I bought it here a couple years ago and it worked fine. Girlfriend bought me the new x4 upgrade. Its just the head unit and probe only no transducer or power cable $120. Thanks
  18. Where do you buy 7 strand stainless wire in lenghts longer than 1000'? Thanks
  19. I have been using the 45 convectors for a few years now. Aside from replacing the clickers once and a while they seem to be good reels. They hold up well and believe me I don't treat them gently Mark
  20. I really won't know for sure until I install it. Probably this weekend and then hopefully I can get out around here the following week. If you go to Raymarines web site and download the manual it says in there it works to 1 knot. Hopefully this is true. I know it relies on a good gps signal so that is a must. The best AP I ever had was the TR-1 Gladiator and Garmin took them over and I'm sure their pilot is as good. I just can't afford $2500 for an AP right now and I got the s1000 for $700 from someone who bought it but couldn't use it for their boat. Good luck!
  21. I am about to install an S1000. The instructions say it will work at 1 knot. The earlier models did not but the newer ones are supposed to work that slow. Will be installing soon.
  22. I'm installing one this year so I will have to get back to you after I get out hopefully mid march or so.
