Yes the RI-10 is for Marpa only and if you want Tom go that way you better suit with the 4G

The radar omes with cables but you will need the Point-1: 000-11047
NK 2000 starter kit: 000-012469-69 comes with power cable (2ft), N2K cable (15ft), 2x network terminators,2x T-connectors
You need 1 extra T-connector part#: 000-0119-79. Depends on the location you may need longer cable.
The radar comes with the scanner connection cable (33ft) and the adapter cable: Ethernet yellow 5 pin male to RJ-45 female (6.5ft)

That’s what I thought, with expenses.
Leeches works pretty good and lot easier to keep.

@potsie225 The cost include the travelling expenses because I was looking at the rates package on Air Tamarac and for Lake Hebert 4 guys+ it's $1160/pers. Canadian$ for 7 days.. Your US $ worth around 1.28$ so it's almost 30% less.

The boat are Lund 16' with Mercury 20hp motor and this year they will have the new 20 EFI. The motors are change every year.

I said it in a previous post; at trolling speed the amp output is around 1.5 for the one that has a 6 amp max output
I don’t know how much for the newer EFI with a 12 max output.
The alternator on the newer Mercur EFI output 12 amp and 145 watts so this is a major improvement.

At trolling speed you are getting 1-1.5 amp.
I’m running 3 graphs and a autopilot and use a 9.9pro-kicker. The 1st year I had a regular 27 battery and last year I start using 30 Gel battery and never had any problem

You’ll have to check and see if the hydraulic unit is compatible with the Seastar systems.
Fully compatible

Maybe, but I doubt; with the "motor" on the steering shaft I don't know how you could use a tilt steering

Right but we are talking that previous unit. I cant use that one. I need tilt.
Then go hydraulic

Cheapest unit right now would be an HDS-7 Gen3. Gen2 are hard to find. Basic Gen3 are around $700 US I think.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkA Touch unit is really a + to control the AP: fast & easy

The only feature I really want/need is the ability to maintain a heading.
Even if you want to do only that you need a compatible unit with a NK2000 network.

I was thinking of switching to hydraulic this year and then adding autopilot next year. Are hydraulics good long term? Any downsides?
Less part in a hydraulic and it's smoother and probably less noisy. I never listen the cable motor but the hydrauic pump make barely noises.

You need to have the right Lowrance GPS unit to make the system work.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkCompatible with: Gen2, Gen2 Touch, Gen3 and Carbon
Also compatible with the Simrad Go series and Evo2 and EVO3

I will be thinking that 1400 will have been a clearance sale; at $400 they loos a big bunch of money on a unit that is still and will be still available for many years
