  1. scott , what if ya got 3 good kings and a big rainbow or brown , your saying we have too make the decision too fish one or the other, i"m just thinking that what if i get three kings to find out they don't stack up to the rest of the feild but i got a brown or rainbow that could win but i can"t bring it to weigh in or ill be DQed, Please don't take this the wrong way all im saying is it would suck to have three good one's 20lb+ and lets say a 16lb trout but can't do anything with it. maybe a bonus kicker fish????

    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS set up at about 2pm in 170 fow trolled for a few hours zig zaging to 140 fow to 180 fow nothing going on but a few skippys so i pointed the nose north found good fish around the 330 to 350 fow and started moving rods with a good spoon bit , not much going on with the dipsy till the end of the day as i trolled back from 400 fow and hit 350fow dipsy took off out 225 on 2 setting with in seconds it was out 700+ feet thinking nice another pumped up 20lb king , then this thing hits the deck 40 mins later after 4 more good runs ! weight was 37.10 best for the boat for us only wish i got this one a few week ago. I see alot of mixed info here and most everyone is right and will catch fish with these set ups, but one thing you can do from day to day to better your catch is start with short lead's and if nothing's going on with them and you'r stuff way out back like dipsys and or copper's are taking hits in there stealthy ways it time to start lengthening your leads off the rigger's so they become stealthy also. good luck & i hope this sheds alittle light on the topic.
