  1. i have a honda power washer works great and also has differant tips too change the angle of spray , it will remove paint with the strait angle tip on it and cut into teak wood so be care full with that. Use something with more of a fanned out tip on teak and wood and youll be very happy and cut the clean time down too 1/2 good luck.

  2. Its nothing personal, just hit many of the guys nerves when you link it to Republicans. Tim is right, it is a bogus cash grab hiding behind the "Green energy" shield. That comes from nowhere else but liberal democrats. You know, the ones that fly around in private jets to get a cup of coffee, and use thousands in energy a month in their mansions. They want YOU to change. I completely agree with Tim, it is a big fat lie, and a political tool. I have been around this lake my entire life, and in the charter business for 26yrs. The vast majority of good things that went on were Republican, and todays democrats are very anti hunting and fishing.

If you won't go back into the Windmill threads here, keep a few things in mind: 1) no matter how well they attract fish, you will not be allowed ANYWHERE near them 2) Once they are here, they are here for good. There will never be any money allocated to disassemble them. 3) It is just plain wrong to put them in ANY of the GREAT Lakes. 4) They can only lead to less use of the fishery, which puts it in jeopardy. People want to escape to scenic places, not dodge eyesores.

COULD NOT OF SAID IT BETER. This needs too be fought like the civil War and can not be lost ,think of the stakes if we do lose , THE GREAT LAKES AS WE KNOW THEM.

  3. yep 5.7 vortec fuel injected would be the cats ass , carbs are a thing of the past and the EPA did'nt make anyone put it on anything they wanted the air cleaned up witch was done with carbs and efi. EFI was invented too be better than a carb and less maint. not more . i have a carb on my boat and it works as it should but id be fooling my self if i thought it could produce as well as efi. EFI on a motor will make the engine last longer also, No more piston wash on start ups. go for it Capt.vince

  4. Squirt a little oil in each cylinder. Let her set a little, then turn it over by hand. Inspect all rubber hoses real good.

Good advice, and if you really want to help her out, have a decent amount of room above the distributor, and can find the resources, set #1 cylinder to TDC (fire) mark distributor base with a scribe or ink marker and then remove it. Either renting (from mechanic) or making (using old distributor drive shaft) you can utilize a 3/8ths drill to spin up the oil pump, effectively creating enough oil pressure to lubricate the entire engine. This way, when you fire the engine, you will have lubricated the mains, cam bearings, rocker assembly, and hydraulic lifters if so equipped, and minimize the chances of taking out a bearing or damaging a lifter at startup. May seem a little over the top, but after sitting for a few years, your engine will thank you for it. Oh yeah, change the oil before doing so.

or you could crank it over with out the plugs in it , that way there will be no load on the main bearings and everthing will get oiled !

  5. hate too be the odd ball here but efi motor's burn cleaner make more power and use less fuel and always have a perfect tune where carbs do not, may take a few years too see the cost off set but over all a good up grade from carbs , I would like too add a carb running at XX temp tuned perfectly could match an efi set up @ W.O.T but as soon as temps changes so dose ur air to fuel ratio and ppm's! where the EFI will will not go lean or rich! basicly when is cold out ur carb motor runs lean and will run alittle warmer and when is hot out your engine will run rich or fat using more fuel than needed! with efi this is not a factor alway running perfect air to fuel ratio resulting in a better over all running motor !
